Hello Las Vegas! A girlfriend and I are taking a little getaway trip to Vegas August 10th - 14th and we would love some feedback on places to visit during our stay. This will be my first time visiting Vegas so I'm super excited to see what Vegas has in store for us! I would love to catch a show or two, so any suggestions on that would be great! Which clubs are high energy and fun? I've heard Vegas has some pretty cool dining venues and some extravagant buffets, what is the best places to dine? Also has anyone visited the green door swingers club? It looks pretty interesting online wondering if it's worth it. Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Absinthe is a hoot!! There's also a half dozen or so Cirque de Solei shows. There's almost as many shows in Vegas as hookers! It's just a matter of your personal preferences. The Green Door has been discussed on here ... just do a search. General consensus is that it's "not so great!" Be sure to check out the Fountains at Bellagio, the Forum Shoppes at Caesar's and the Grand Canal at Venetian. Also, Fremont Street downtown at night is a must see. So much to see, eat and do. Wear comfy shoes......those CFM stilleto's are great from the Bar to your room, but not for roaming around Vegas
+1 for Absinthe. My cheeks were sore from laughing. I also hear it's funning if seen more than once.
Do you like history or sight seeing?.. The Grand Canyon is BREATH TAKING. The Hoover Dam (No Damn Jokes. lol) tour is great too. It's amazing how they built the dam after the turn of the century when the vehicle was in it's infancy and how lives were lost building it.It's a must see! LOL!
All kidding aside... Must say that the Green Door is the last thing you probably want to see/do in Vegas. If you like thrills... do the Richard Petty experience at the speedway and I have a deal right now for a flying experience that will rock your world. PM me for details on that if you are up for a thrill of a lifetime. For shows.. other people have already commented on that and they are spot on. Dining? Vegas dive bars rival the best restaurants in other cities. It's really impressive that I can get a fantastic meal in Vegas at 3 A.M. that is better than the best joints in Chicago for a fraction of the price. Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas and you are going to have a blast! In vegas you can do almost anything. If this is a true vacation here are my top 3 spots
Questions:do you have a budget ?
are you staying on strip (south MB area, or closer north towards encore) ?
will you have a car rental ? My first suggestion - rent a car, especially if you are planning on sightseeing. If not - explore the monorail and use it. Walking up and down the strip in 100 degree weather is Ok fro a day. DRINK WATER...... top shows

SW Steakhouse - if dining at night, sit outside on patio
Tao - great asian food
carson kitchen (downtown) - fried chicken skins
Border grille - the CP location Shopping
Town square - also good for a movie break

Wynn and Encore, just so much fun walking around and people watching Bellagio fountains and gardens - free Suggestion:
I'd look at seeing a Vegas provider, I am sure you can find someone willing to assist you in your travel plans
Thank you so much for the advice! As for budget, no budget as I'm pretty spoiled! Also me and my girlfriend are getting a rental car so we will definitely be able to explore and move around. I'm so excited for this trip! I'm definitely going to see absinthe, it sounds like a hoot! I was also thinking about doing the helicopter tour to the the canyon, have you ever done that. I also heard about something called a sign graveyard. I believe it's full of old casino signs and what not, that sounds pretty cool. So much to do so little time, I guess there will be no time for sleep lol or very little of it! Thanks everyone for the input I'm so looking forward to exploring all your suggestions.

Absinthe... If you sit on the first row you'll get picked on BAD... The first four rows are considered VIP that includes a small bottle of champagne and entry through the pay phone booth... lol
Grand Canyon helicopter ride... I have considered the helicopter ride with lunch on the Colorado River... I did the tour bus ride (from morning to evening)... The helicopter ride would be the quickest and not take all day like the tour bus... Hoover Dam... I rented a car and also toured the neighboring town and Lake Meade... Have fun!Questions:
