meet and greet? Why or why not?

If you've attended, what are the benefits? And the disadvantages?

Advantages:  Meeting ladies face-to-face and finding out if you "click" with them on a one-to-one basis; having drinks and fun in a relaxed atmosphere with like-minded people; getting to see some beautiful women dressed in a variety of sexy and unique outfits.

Disadvantages:  They don't always fall on days that I can attend; some people refuse to attend for reasons that they are certainly entitled to have but still their presence is missed because of the fun time

but it seemed like it was the same people attending as previous ones I had been to, females that is.  Last one I went to, only about a dozen ladies showed up after about 3 times that amount responded yes to the evite.  Seemed like a waste of a C-note to me.  I might go again, but not sure.....

One I did go to, I saw a provider before the party who I had been in contact with but usually does not do incall.  She contacted me ahead of time, told me she had a room at the hotel where the party was being held, and asked if I wanted to get together.  I said yes, and had a good time with her.  At the party, I met another provider from my hometown state, and arranged a date with her following the party.  Another good time, but I think those times are very rare.  BTW, that's the only time I saw 2 different providers at different times on the same day.  Prob would not try that again....LOL

meeting ladies face-to-face and seeing the "non-photoshopped version" as well as being able to guestimate their real age.  You can also find out if you might have chemistry with providers in attendance because you get to mingle and chat on a one-to-one basis.  It is always great to see some beautiful women dressed in a variety of sexy outfits.  You can decide who you might want to see in the future.

The only disadvantage I can think of is the ability to remain totally UTR in case you met a neighbor, work colleague, or friend who is into P4P.

Attended dozens of M&G's in NYC, Vegas, South Florida, DC, Fowwoods, Boston. and last month attended my first in LA.  Why?  Because the first lady I ever hobbyed with, my dear friend Sexy Toni, asked her friend Mikki to invite me.  Accepting that invite was one of the best moves I ever made as a hobbyist...

The benefits?  I made friends as a result with many different ladies who are now also ATF's, and it just keeps getting better.  The disadvantages?  None to date...

But would like to. Main disadvantage would be time, location, and how to explain my absence.

I have attended a few over the years.
 Pro..Great to meet a lady or two face to face. Fun to see old flames as well. I have made connections this way.  

Con...I suppose I could run into someone I know that could be awkward. I suppose for everyone there may always be a conflict regarding the day/night of event.

This sounds sneaky and it is, I have to schedule anything according to my SO's schedule. I could make up something like golf, but I don't play golf and it normally isn't played late at night(or in another distant city) that I know of.

OK, you don't play golf?   Buy a set, take it to the driving range, scuff the clubs up and you are in business.    A typical round takes 4-5 hours and driving around to different cities is normal for us who live in Florida because there are so many great courses within 1-2 hours drive - playing the same course all the time can get boring.  

I cannot use golf, because not only do I really play, my circle of friends is tight and it includes my golf buddies and their wives who are all great friends with my wife.    I only get to play when I travel for business reasons.

I think you have a great idea there!!

I went to a christmas party meet/greet with a hobbiest while living in New Orleans. It was a lot of fun and I got a chance to meet some ladies & gents from the hobby. I would prbabaly do it again, if the boards in Florida were a little more active in my area.

For instance, one night I went to a bukkake/gangbang party. Since forty guys showed up it ran late. So I called my wife who was pissed. "Where are you?" I confessed. I told her a Harley friend wanted to go to a strip club. When I left, I got turned around on the toll road and rode halfway to Milwaukee before I realized where I was. It worked. She was relieved I wasn't out with a woman, I guess.

So I, like others in my situation, do not have to make up excuses for my absence.  I just hope all my married or attached hobby friends find successful ways to see you lovely ladies.  How some of them do it amazes me.  I have at least one buddy  that uses me as his excuse, with various activities......LOL

I'd attend if there was one being held when I was in town.  The only trouble is, how do you know when they are held?  Can I sign up for an email alert or something?
