Wish I could get over there but an elderly mother cannot travel...

This storm is not going to be pretty and I have to say I am pretty freaked out.

I am in a county that is inland but we will get high winds and probably significant damage, flooding, etc.  Plus they just put us under a mandatory curfew from Fri 5am to Sat 7am.

I just pray my mom will be ok but she will probably be better off than me.  

Losing power is not going to fun.

And please GENTS....be patient with us girls in answering emails, forms, etc.  No power for days means no wi-fi either! I will be shutting off my phone to keep battery so no twitter access for me.  

Ladies...now is the time to put an away message on your email if you won't have access.  I know I sure am going to do it.

I just heard about the curfew... I'm in OB north of DB.. I'm keeping positive it won't be as big of a deal as they dramatize it to be.. Not my first rodeo thru these things living here in OB for 38 of my 52 years.. and this is so true "No power for days means no wi-fi either! I will be shutting off my phone to keep battery so no twitter access for me.  " Still love my old fashioned landline with old fashioned phone!

Just lots of wind and rain so far.  Nothing worse than a tropical storm.  I'm about 5 miles inland.
