It depends on where you are and your local typical response to escorting.  I haven't read any stories about crackdowns on AMP's or from the sites, but I'd bet you it's coming.  Next year's an election year and you know what that means.  The local politicians need to show that they're "tough on crime".

I have no crystal ball but, I'm wondering if the new law may backfire?  Will it finally be worthwhile  for someone to go to court and put the law to test and perhaps win a ruling that protects the privacy to two individuals?
My next thought, I live in Nevada, for years possession of any amount of Marajuana was a FELONY.  The legislature refused to lower it to Misdemeanor many times (before a vote of the people finally legalized it).  In the meantime, in Clark County (Las Vegas) the District Attorney simply refused to prosecute most arrests for possession for personal use.  The result was the police stopped making the arrests as they were futile.  Of course they could always run you in for possession if they wanted to just to ruin your night but you had to work on it to make that happen.  I personally witnessed cops find weed on TEENAGERS and simply made them grind it into the asphalt (the 21st Century version of 'pour out the beer, boys.')  Time will tell which DAs are willing to give felony records  and which will refuse.

I've managed to stay out of Texas and avoided it my whole life, even though a have a couple of good friends I was in Nam with. The pot laws are ridicules totally absurd and out of touch with reality. The abortion law is almost frightening, with people encouraged to turn in women, reminiscent of nazi Germany. No doubt these ho laws are ridicules, but take good look at the political party in charge, basically your state is run by deer in the headlights evangelicals and other all about me religious groups. I think it should of stayed part of Mexico.

Texas laws are a bit crazy at times but we still enjoy a fair amount of freedom here.

Pick your cohorts wisely and you can circumvent the system entirely.

Do your research and avoid the low hanging fruit.
