it's south of downtown and easy access to I25. Almost all the major upscale business hotels have properties in the dtc.

....and downtown Denver.

A few things to consider if you decide to visit Aspen, Vail, etc.  It is peak season in Colorado: skiing, snow shoeing, etc.  Prices will be high, and most resorts have limited availabilty, as I type.

Snow.  Four little letters that will create havoc with flights, road trips, etc.  Take in to consideration, that you might arrive later than planned, and leave later than planned.  If you are in one of the resorts areas, keep in mind, that gentlemen might have a difficult time getting from point A to point B.  Also, most of the resorts will ask for a fifty percent deposit due at booking, and the balance paid thirty days before arrival.  Most ask for a three or four night minimum.

I adore Colorado.  The gentlemen are gracious, the mountains spectacular, and it is as laid back, or fussy as you want it to be.

  Enjoy!

Hugs,
Kelly

.... a lot of the more nice (3* and up) hotels requiring key card for elevator access.  How true is that?

,,,,,and some only require keys for certain floors.  I would call ahead, and ask.
