I know that this has been a source of contention on a local board that individuals are able to get free access to reviews if they provide a review and the fact that this may lend to dishonesty among the review system.

Recently I have had two reviews that I have absolutely no recollection of and are very uncharacteristic of me.  In one of them the reviewer stated that I met him at his hotel in thigh highs and spiked heels which I have not ever done!

I have tried contacted the individuals to politely ask if and when I had seen them because my feeling is if they didn't click with me so be it and I don't have a problem with the review but if it is just an individual who is trying to get free membership and I didn't see them then I would contact TER to have the review removed.

In the past I received bad marks by a boyfriend of a competitor and I didn't say anything because I figured that is just part of doing business but false reviews in an effort to gain free membership is really bothersome to me.

So for the girls how have you dealt with this in the past and for the gentlemen please think twice before doing this for your own benefit...

It's beyond me why someone would be that cheap, writing bogus reviews for free membership, when it's only $30 for a membership. Some people just don't have anything better to do, than play on TER and write bogus reviews. ( i guess? )

i totally agree.. tho i have barely started on here.. i think a full thorough review is better than a short review

I love it when providers plead for pity whenever hobbyists finally extract some benefit for themselves.

How many times do ladies blacklist clients for petty reasons? How many times do they turn clients away at the door because they aren't attractive? How many times do they refuse clients even after they comply with their screening methods (work info, pics, requiring screening service membership, etc)? How many lie about their age and background? How many use old and photoshopped pics?

This is a dirty, unregulated business. One that almost always benefits providers. Sorry that clients have one advantage when it comes to reviews. I suggest you toughen up.

I have never turned away a hobbyist at the door no matter what they looked like or how unclean they might be.  I have been over accommodating time and time again for clients who seem to only be interested in pushing the limits of an appointment to see what they can receive.

Just as I do not punish every client for the horrendous behavior of a few it is ridiculous for clients to punish the masses for the shortcomings of a few that they may see.

Blacklisting is completely different than writing a fake review.  Lying about the experience to make themselves feel better is even worse!  I don't blacklist individuals with made up complaints and actually have listed a very minimal number of clients over my three years.

Yes, I am tough and I put up with a lot of BS that goes on day in and day out because bottom line is that the majority of clients are pleasant and a lot of fun to be around.  Just as bait and switch can ruin your experience so can someone who doesn't disclose who they are or their motives so that they can write a bs review.

To say that it is "rich" that I should be upset over a review and that I need to toughen up while saying that you have been burned so it shouldn't bother me if I am is ridiculous and proves my point.
