Actually, in my opinion you can't fault Naomi on this.  Just like guys are always telling other guys to do research, every provider has their own method of screening.  I would imagine she is not the only one to do this.

I should do what that guy on that lifelock commercial does and give you my hobby email and phone number.

How are you handling it carefully? If you look at someone's facebook page, it makes a connection. It assumes you might be friends. It might ask you at some point if you'd like to be friends. What if you look at someone else? How there is a loose connection. It is one of the most insidious social media programs ever created. If people really understood what it does, what it tries to learn about you people would be fearful and shocked.

I'm not sure what else I could add.  The overwhelming power of social media is being encouraged by those who crave its power to market.  But Facebook and Google are constantly fighting to see who's the smartest guy in the room, with Apple egging them on.  So there may be no real way to separate your real identity from your alias.

Everyone, hobbyist and providers have to contact each other through some means. That means is usually an email which has an ip address if one knows how to look up ip addresses you cant hide. The only way you will be anonymous is if you do not call or email which will not happen. So Good Luck to all of you trying to stay anonymous.

Yeah, you can hide your IP address, and there is a big difference between someone knowing your real name and address versus your IP address.  There are ways to hide it, just look it up through this new thing the kids are calling "Google".
