Well then why not take a winter break from Minnesota and come on down for a few days of respite in balmy Chicago .

Seriously though, winter can be brutal, but it's usually not, and I mostly enjoy the cold weather even down into the teens. It is almost always too long though. Spring can be gorgeous, but especially on the lakefront with the icy lake breezes, it often only lasts a day or two, so you have to have exceptional timing to catch it on a visit. Summer can be hot, humid, and smoggy, or it can be lovely and temperate, especially near the lake. But in my book fall with its cooler temps and fresh air definitely offers the most beautiful weather of the year here in the Windy City.

But were you more interested in the best time for weather or the best time for business.
As Gemma mentions, you will never lack for interesting things to do at any time of year.
