Depends on the number of activities you want to be included on the menu. Expect to see donations between $300 and $400 for an hour, regardless of independent or agency status. You may be able to find some advertised special rates that are slightly lower. Also, there are a few elite providers in the area with donations of $500 and up, and by all accounts, are worth every penny.
While I agree that Sinful is worth every penny and more, extremelust asked some legitemate questions.
The range for a "TER - class" lady can start at about $250 and go up from there, I have fornd that you can have a delightful time starting around $300. After that, the laws of Supply and Demand take over. Our ladies try to strike a balance considering age, figure, facial looks, kinkiness and any special features the lady offers.
This varies by geography. In Vegas, for example, $500 is a typical starting point. I believe NYC is up there, too, but I have no first hand experience in NY.
Agencies offer some ladies advantages, but at a price. Many ladies start with agencies, then when they have learned about the hobby as a business, go on their own. My preference is for independents, but I am sorely tempted by many Apropro ladies.
Rates vary considerably. There are many ladies who in the $300 to $350 range who consistently average 8s and 9s. There are $500 ladies who rate far lower. Invest in VIP and read the reviews, but often it's just a matter of personal chemistry.

guys who back channel on various gals who consider themselves (and the ads reflect this) HDH gals. You know as well as I that many of the HDH gals aren't as "hot" as they would like you to believe (as in pics aren't them). And when a review that is "less than complimentary" the gals and her WK's jump on that to get it removed.
So there will always be some who gravitate to the HDH gals and be "disappointed" expecting something that isn't up to their expectations. And others who have been there, done that and don't need to revisit.
To the OP...do your homework...read the reviews...AND contact recent reviewers of a gal to get the input you need to make an informed decision. Don't rely on "spiffy websites" as your criteria for who you think might be the value you seek. As perfesser69 suggested...plenty of lovely gals in the range he is suggesting.
I rarely go to the $500 range, but I always do my research. A high rate is not a guarantee of anything in regards to looks and performance.
A guy should always do research before seeing a lady, even for a BP girl. As you stated, contact recent reviewers of the lady and ask questions. I've avoided some ladies [regardless of rate] due to some research.
And end up disappointed with the session, the looks, the entire process.
And the $ 500+ gals I have seen were also "hot". But since this is such a subjective game it is always how a fella perceives the experience (and $$$$$ spent for that experience).
