I think about the movie "The Wizard Of Oz"! I want to click my heels together and say, "There's no place like home". And wow what a gorgeous week we're having...It makes me think of outdoor dining, sitting in the sun, and "other" (wink) fun activities. Anyone else finally got spring fever?
Steph XOYes, for sure! I have Spring Fever in full force now. Spring in North Carolina is awesome! The cabin fever from Winder is finally banished. And I agree, there are a number of very pleasant activities to enjoy during Spring!!
Where are the best places in NC? I’ll be in Virginia Beach this summer and plan to visit NC regularly. Any help with good places to stay would be greatly appreciated!

As much as it pains me, I have to agree. RDU just isn’t a ‘destination city’ yet - must be why most providers touring through NC usually stay longer in Charlotte then RDU.
However, There are several great restaurants with a ton of variety (Mexican, Italian, Indian, Mediterranean, even Laotian) as well as lots of breweries both in the city and surrounding areas. The downtown area is very walkable with activities on Fayetteville Street almost every weekend in the summmer. Plus, Raleigh is smaller than Charlotte, so the traffic is much more manageable.
