so with the delta thing going nuts is that impacting you ? are you still making/accepting dates?

If you are vaccinated and reasonably healthy, this question is like asking "are you worried you'll be in a car accident while traveling to an appointment?" every time you get behind the wheel.  I find it disturbing that our government is trying to continually scare everyone to maintain control.  Fact - people with diabetes made up around 40% of the deaths in the US.  Being diabetic or overweight is an invitation for COVID.  The sad thing is both these conditions are largely controllable.  And before anyone starts typing in anger, I am not talking about anyone who is immunocompromised by preexisting conditions or old age.  Those people need to take extra precautions even after they have been vaccinated.

For everyone else, get vaccinated, live your life, loose a few pounds if you are overweight, and take a walk instead of having a cookie.

So the vaccine is showing that its not great in stopping infection of this delta... I have family members (that I do not live with)  at this moment that were vaccinated a while back and are currently fighting covid infections... One worst than the other....The healthier one is actually worst off than  the overweight one with diabetes.... Everyone has a different experience.

My question was more whether you are still having meetups

I guess I thought it was apparent, but the answer is "yes".  I saw my regular friends throughout last year prior to being vaccinated and now that the vaccine is in play I feel even more comfortable making appointments.  I am fortunate that no one I know personally got really sick from the virus and my sympathies go out to anyone and their families who had to deal with COVID.  But keep in mind that the virus impact is a bell curve and the government and the media appear to be hyping the worst cases at the back end of the curve without context and IMHO it is because they have become drunk on having the control.  Ever wonder why they have been able to give you day to day COVID statistics, but other government reporting (like crime stats) is usually 2 years old?  I suppose that means I trust my provider friends more than I trust much of the COVID data our government has been dishing out for the past 18 months.  Outside of getting the vaccine developed in record time, the whole COVID response really bugs me.

Are you still meeting with ladies now?

I'm being as careful as I can be but any interaction with other people could result in catching it. It's all about the odds and yes being vaccinated does help-period. I try to keep my odds better and will take a booster shot when I can get one.

I have not met with any ladies in a long long while (since before this all started)... too long...
With my two shots, it  was giving me some peace of mind but im worried its not that effective as originally thought.   Ive gone ahead and made a date with someone and super excited but its still a couple of weeks away but its seriously on the back of my mind.

Enjoy yourself, I'm betting it will a date to remember!  ;-)
