Hello to all and hope everyone is well. I am planning my first visit to Charlotte soon and would love some advice on the best and safest  areas/hotels etc. I'm sure this has been asked before but I could not find any "updated information". Please  pm me if you wish to share information. Thank you so much xoxo

Definitely South Park area.  Great restaurants there.  Nice Hotels My favorite area of Charlotte. Very safe
Uptown Area of Charlotte is good also
Finally Ballantyne area is safe also, but a little bit far out

YUP!  These areas are where I tend stick to pretty much so....two tits up from me :).

I love staying there, so many fun things to do, great dining and shopping, and free parking. Uptown Charlotte is a whole other world IMO.  It can be fun and it has LOTS of nightlife. If you go for Uptown see if you can find a place close to right outside the center. Some of those hotels may have free parking.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or hotel suggestions.

Hi Steph, you always have great suggestions and advice that are spot on.

It's been a long time;  I'm not the grammar police, but your link is misspelled and some might not know how to get back in touch with you.

....I have not traveled to Charlotte since December of last year.   It's driving me nuts, BTW.  I have an ATF and some new folks (Steph) I hope to visit when this plague is over.

I really have not choice but to stay in Concord, right off Interstate 85.  Scott Padgett Pkwy.  Lots of hotels and places to eat.  Mall too.

Avoid the airport, kind of seedy down there.   Steph is correct, Uptown is a very different feel to it.

Totally suggest SouthPark as well. DoubleTree Suites, Renaissance Hotels are both really nice spots right by the mall. The Residence inn is not quite as close by good as well.

Echo avoiding the airport, especially the 85 side.  There are couple of good hotels there actually but for a few bucks more SoutPark.

Concord Mills has tons of places to stay and food too. Huge outlet mall - and easy to get to as its right off 485. But its less central than SouthPark.

Downtown Charlotte (or Uptown if you have lived here for a while) is really weird with so many folks working from home. So really nice hotels. The Sheraton is not in downtown proper but a great place and can be pretty affordable.

Thank you all for responding, it really helps xoxo
