Scam Alert-Ghosted by Provider After Submitting Deposit

I have the emails and the CashApp receipt. Saturday night, per her request, I submitted a $75 deposit to Nicolette. I’d seen her once before-a few years ago-and wrote a glowing and positive review. We were scheduled to meet at 6pm. I sent her the email receipt and wrote her today-did you get the receipt and all good? Crickets. I tried again closer to the appointment time. Nothing.

I work for a non-profit agency, and don’t make much money. Hobbying is an occasional occurrence for me, and $75 is a lot of money to me. Really upsetting and disappointing.

There are plenty of providers out there who don't require deposits or take recommendations instead.  Don't think with your dick.  Avoid girls who want a deposit.

Yeah, man. Yeah. I didn’t think it would be an issue because we’d met before. But, as reflected in the most recent post for this thread, maybe having met/seen her previously is why we were easy prey for the scam. Who knows? But your point is well taken-not worth the risk nor the ensuing humiliation when you know you were tricked and dicked.

Same thing happened to me last week.  I've met her before too, we hit it off and had so much fun.  Her issue is she's sort of a mess IRL, scatterbrained, always running into some drama causing her to cancel or ghost.  She's not a scammer, just crazy unreliable and disorganized.  Sorry this happened to you.  I'm hopeful she'll make it up to us soon.

Well, dude-I suspect your perspective makes it easier to navigate life’s disappointments, so good on you. You’ll live longer and be happier. I can understand and accept that a provider is flighty, inconsistent, ADD/ADHD-that’s fine. No judgment in that regard. But it becomes a different, more troubling thing when trust is broken and money is involved. Be flighty, dramatic-whatever. But once the transaction has occurred, be a pro. Our right to swing our arms and march down the street changes when our swinging arms hit someone in the face. Suffice it to say I’m not holding my breath that she will make it “right.” Stranger things have happened, but not really.

I know the pain, I feel ya, and thank you for sharing. We learn to take the L and warn others. You probably saved someone else the same negative experience.

A response message takes less than a minute.  if they they were quick to ask for money but slow on response. take the L and warn others. it smells of an exit scam

simps will simp when you speak out, it's like clockwork in this type of exit scam

That website is sending a 404. Yeeeesh.

Thank you. I have submitted the correct link as a “reply” to the original post. Thank you.
