Please note, an apostrophe is not used for "Guy's" or "outcall's".  A simple "s" makes them plural.  Just a pet peeve of mine.

OK Chrissy,

Tonight I want you to order a grammar, spelling and punctuation book and spend at least one hour a night studying.

LMAO

Can we just make a list of all the providers on the board and "diss" them all at once, please?  Let's just get it out of the way!

I applaud your efforts to clean up the punctuation problems on the internet! Oh, sure, SOME would say that attacking a known and loved provider on a Boston message board over an APOSTROPHE is a silly way to start when there are gigabytes of incorrectly spelled and punctuated data floating around in chatrooms all through the ether - but I say a man's got to start somewhere! And of course, SOME would say that annoying a provider whose chosen avocation involves giving pleasure to fat bastards like yourself is rather self destructive - but I say that the truth MUST be spoken! LADIES: just because you are beautiful, sensous, entertaining, and accomodating DOES NOT MEAN you can SLIDE BY with incorrect grammar and poor punctuation! Get on the ball! Better yet, call me. I'm willing to trade grammar and composition lessons for.... oh, never mind :-)

By the way, Mr. Bastard, I have a couple of pet peeves of my own, related to your post:

1. When you open a sentence with a phrase like "Please note" you are implying that a list or declarative statement will follow, and the proper punctuation is a colon (:), not a comma (,).

2. There is no such thing as a "simple s". What would the opposite be, a "complicated s"? It's wordy and unnecessary (read White & Strunk: "OMIT NEEDLESS WORDS!") The correct sentence would be: "An 's' makes them plural."

3. Is "Just a pet peeve of mine." a sentence? I don't THINK so. You need a VERB to make a sentence, babe. When you are criticizing the grammar, spelling, and/or punctuation of others it is IMPERATIVE to speak or type correctly. You have failed to do so in EACH of the sentences you posted.

ok, i'm done :-) hey lilly, i bet my IQ's bigger than yours! :-)

Great critique, Clarence.  I must say, there are FAR too many "Dangling Participles" in this hobby already, not to mention those nasty "Propositional Phrases".

The last thing we need is to be caught with our participles dangling, making propositional phrases to the wrong person.

And those yappy "pet peeves".  So much work, even though they can be kind of cute.

Let's see, the week started with Mel-bashing, followed by some Stacey-Dissing, then of course it was Lilly-analyzing (one guy even suggested I go into therapy).  Amber was next, and now you're grammar.  LMAO..I must say it is quite impressive, to say the least!

that the guy is just trying to be helpful? I don't see any insulting words or mockery in his post (which can't be said about some of the other replies in the thread).
I am sure most guys would rather spend time with Marilyn Monroe than Marilyn Vos Savant. FYI:the latter has an IQ of 228, wrote a great book entitled "The Art of Spelling", AND I think she is beautiful. OTOH I wonder whether some gents are reluctant to schedule a meeting with a lady (in general, I am not speaking about anyone in particular) who appears not to have gone to school. They may have concerns about possible compatibility, dependability, safety, or perceived quality (as in "attention to detail"). As an aside, I do know some college grads who don't know the difference between YOU ARE and YOUR (my personal pet peeve! It drives me crazy, crazy, crazy! LOL)
I am ashamed to say that I haven't finished reading the above mentioned book, but I just found a great quote while browsing it: "...when [your spelling] goes wrong, it spurs strong associations in the mind of the reader, even when he or she isn't aware of them. These associations run from major (like a lack of general intelligence) to minor (such as a lack of attention to detail), but they nearly always cause the reader to form a negative view about the writer's inherent abilities...."

..."now you're grammar" is not in and of itself grammatically incorrect if you are attempting a simile, as in "now you are grammar personified".  It seems, however, that you meant to say "now your grammar" as the last in the list of bashings.  But I digress...

1. "and" is a conjunction, and should not be used to open a sentence.

2. i'm pretty sure that "who'dah" is not a word. nor is "thunk". nor is "guyz".

3. it's not possible for "guyz" (plural, i assume) to have "A" cattleprod stuck up their "asses". there would have to be multiple cattleprods, or one big collective ass... and i happen to know, the 'big collective ass' belongs to my ex-wife :-)

what do i win?

- - - - i apologize... you have to understand, my dad was a 30 year+ english professor. my siblings and i used to sit around the dinner table and wait for him to make a mistake so we could attack him :-)

lilly, the fellow who suggested therapy for you is 100% correct. you need to find your way to my couch as soon as possible. i can help you; trust me, i have only your best interests in mind :-) i think a nice, relaxing game of "evil hypnotist and trusting virgin" is in order.......

Hey Clarence,
Thanks for the lesson.  It's funny, all I wanted to do was point out a pet peeve of mine and a long thread followed.  A lot of what's happened is the result of either writing as we speak or vice-versa.  Anyway, you'd be surprised at how many sites offer pic's of providers as opposed to a gallery as the lovely and beautiful Chrissy has.

Please, I would hardly consider any of the posts you described as "puting down providers" they are nothing short of being accurate observations, it seems every time a post is made that is not complimentry toward certain women out here it causes an over reaction. These boards are supposed to provide helpfull information to help people spend their money wisely so when someone states that a women is 30 to 50 lbs. heavier and ten years older or has the personality of a jelly fish they can be avoided and not constantly hyped up.

Dear Dr. Clarence,

I take no offense whatsoever to your sentence dissecting.  The mere fact that you even KNOW what a preposition is makes me KVELL...

Your therapeutic approach is quite refreshing, btw., and it might actually work.  I could bring my "Nasty Madlibs" book and you could make me (under hypnosis, of course) into a human sentence; acting out and identifying all its components. (eg., "I [pronoun] am [verb, present first singular] a [indefinate article] naughty, [adjective] who*e. [noun]

Think of the possibilites!

Oh, and I really like the "one collective ass" concept.  I think the entire board is in need of an enema, therefore why waste time cleansing individuls?  It's easier doing it all at once!

xoxo

True, but embarrassing the poster publicly at least gives the appearance of arrogance or worse, sanctimony. The observation/help would have been handled with more class via one on one email.

This isn’t an issue regarding putting down providers exclusively. We’ve already had a poster’s spelling skills publicly questioned here this week. (For those keeping score, the above use of “’s” is correct in the possessive form. ;)

I must admit, I die a little inside every time I hear or read, “I could care less!” (as opposed to the correct and opposite meaning statement “I couldn’t care less!”)  However, I resist the desire to publicly set people straight.

Just my opinion...

that the guy is trying to help but I highly doubt it. I can always accept constructive criticism if given with good intention's. In fact I welcome constructive criticism. If he wanted to be helpful he could of emailed me directly not announce to the board that his pet peeve is my wrongly positioned apostrophes......to me that sounds like a personal problem and none of my concern.

There are many reason's why a guy might choose to spend time with a certain provider.  If a gentleman doesn't want to spend time with me based on my grammar and punctuation....so be it, there are plenty of men who enjoy me for who I am ! I haven't mastered the english language but I certainly speak french superbly!    ~C~

Finally, a voice of reason!!  At least Dani noticed that nothing in my initial reply indicated anything to do with intelligence.  All I was doing was pointing out a very small thing that happens to be a pet peeve of mine.  In no way was I "bashing" anyone and I really didn't think it was such a sensitive issue.  I was just trying to be helpful.
