That's why when you do Backpage you ask if they are law enforcement. They have to answer yes if they are.

Because it is surely not the truth.

I hope it's sarcasm!

Seriously, asking the particular statement....it isn't going to save you.

I, particularly, find it amusing when a person shuts the door and then proceeds to ask the question.

cops aren't going to bother with screening and risk turning away potential arrests. They don't care if you're a dangerous/bad client, and they're certainly not worried about you being a cop.

this proves all college professors are lowly degenerates who should be rounded up, put in jail, and toss away the key.

Why else would a noble source of news like The Herald bother to report this?

(And yes, I'm being sarcastic.

or it could show that he's being responsible and paying for it like everyone else, instead of trying to take advantage of his female students.

Agree. Most of college professors are unsuccessful in trade they teach, that's why they teach it. They're not smart or talented enough to be able to just DO it.

There are exceptions but they usually are famous in their field, like former politicians or famous lawyers that teach a seminar or two here and there. What I said above doesn't apply to those teaching at MIT and the like (research, labs, space, etc) or at Medical school (they usually teach (and do research) and practice medicine at the same time).

Those who actually want to TEACH usually don't teach in college.

Want to add to my post above that all that being said I feel really sorry about that hobbyist. Another life might've just been ruined over basically nothing.

Here is a guy who was probably working his ass off teaching at Northeastern (which chances are was not his only gig) trying to support his family. And now because he took a chance on some really incidental and inconsequential recreational activity, his life may just come apart. And not only outing him would have a destructive affect on him, but also on his wife, children and who knows who else. And all that irrespective of whether he's found guilty or not. It's just awful, stupid and utterly medieval

What an amazingly ignorant, tragically arrogant statement
