Visiting provider wants copy of drivers lic before meet. Had reputable references. Any thoughts/concerns
A copy of my DL? And before a face to face. No way in hell sir nor would I give her a copy at the face to face. See it as a validation at the time of the meeting? Okay maybe. But honestly I've never even had that happen.
Plenty of other lovely ladies in the ATL.
My 2.5 cents on a Sunday
Does she want you to use mail or fax? I usually let them see it when we met if they ask, but I wouldn't advise it before a meeting.
Asked me to email her copied of my DL and a business card. Needless to say, I passed.
A reverse image search of a few of her photos don't show anything suspicious, I suspect that if you really wanted to see her you could try to explain why you aren't comfortable with such a proceedure.
My main concern for DL and biz card would be identity theft afterword or by someone that gains access to her files by mistake
No one's going to give a girl a reference where they didn't behave. There could be 2 girls who think you're the best thing ever and 8 girls that want to spit in your food. I've made a few friends in the business and know that references aren't enough to assure the ones who have been at this a while. I actually feel more comfortable knowing the provider I'm seeing takes care of herself and that means she truly screens her clients and doesn't depend on references. I have NO problem emailing a copy of my ID so they know that I'm screening as myself and I've no ill intentions. It's so much better to walk into an appointment relaxed about where I am and what's about to go down. pun intended!

See the discussion a few threads below. That last thing you should do is send a copy of your ID by email or fax. I think it's okay to show ID in person but don't let it be recorded anywhere.
How about a verfication service then?
I am applying for P411 application and they asked me for copy of DL, is it safe to send it to them?
hmm that must be a new thing because I didn't have to do that with p411 but that was a couple of years ago.
I would verify which country they and specially their servers are located in and decide. e.g. TER is pretty safe, it's out of reach.
I think overall services like p411 are safer to give ID to. I just would not allow a provider to have a copy because who know where it may end up, and who knows if it's even destroyed at all, regardless of any claims made
