Played around with OF a bit around the pandemic, not really my thing.   Twitter/X can be nice to get a background sense of personality alongside all the other random fun/entertaining tweets.

I follow several on OF. Lots of little interactions to help get to know them.

If the lady has a Twitter, I'll definitely take a look at it! Candid pics show some interests the lady may have that aren't posted elsewhere. Such as pets, literature likes, music genres, etc. Which helps with convo, or gifts/tips.  

Have discovered excessive photo shopping. One lady was gangsta AF on Twitter. This is information that could prevent me from following through.  

I can't follow as I have been suspended for putting the words "DemonRat, gulag and gallows" in the same sentence.

I'm 12 years into this hobby and from day one I have always done my homework. Being a bit OCD has been a great asset as well. I leave little to chance and have about an 85% winning percentage when it comes to outstanding encounters. I was very fortunate to have been accidently introduced to the hobby by Gina @ P-411 during a flight delay - serendipity.
P-411 is my starting point if I am in search of a new independent, an attractive and sincere smile always catches my eye. I search for specific parameters and compile some possibilities. 'Call for rates' get eliminated, as do those with too many 'hiddens'. I go to websites if they are provided and note any I like and possibly narrow the list down.  
Next, I start looking @ TER reviews. That gets down to specific activities I am interested in and usually eliminates a few.  I pay attention to a reviewers reviews of other providers - looking for patterns. If a reviewer is a 7&8 guy that rates the lady I am interested in a 9 or 10 - that's a huge positive.  
My final look is @ social media - that can often give a good sense of personality. Looking for positive attitudes and no drama or diva vibes.  
This process has given me a great deal of satisfaction and I have made some long term friends and met some wonderfully BSC women too. Variety is indeed the spice of life.

I'm all for doing research to make sure you don't get scammed, but some of you guys do more work selecting a provider than you did finding your wife.  Fortunately for me I don't have a wife so that may make me different.  I look at this like I do golf, I don't have a home course.  I generally see a provider twice a week, I have three regulars and one open spot that I try to find some variety.  I generally have dinner dates roughly 3 hours on a week night, that gives us time for a meal and some private time.

As far as Twitter goes I probably find more ladies there and based on their personalities I decide if I want to see them, for example Too Political either way is a turnoff for me.  Too bossy is a turn off.  I like the women that support others and are kind online... Look at Ginger Taylors or Hallie Brooks timeline both of them rarely have a negative word to say, sty out of politics, support others, and their timelines are not just pics and requests for cash, they try to engage you.  So if I see someone I like then I take a look at the websites and reach out.  They have to be physically attractive to me but honestly that is a low hurdle.  My three regulars are tall short and medium height... One blond two brunettes... one AA and two whites.... one spinner, one small BBW, and one in the middle....B cup to DD.  I feel like I am all over the board.

I have never subscribed to only fans... I get it as a provider to have multiple streams of income but as a client I prefer live entertainement.

By no means am I telling any of the ladies how to run their business I just got to thinking about how I select companions in relation to the question and probably answered more than the OP asked.

But I love the fact we have "X" [twitter] because it's a lot quicker with engagements and I feel like it is a great way to get an idea on the influencers personality.   Especially since meet and greets are rare now. ..... I have mixed feelings about OF like I'm tempted to create one but I have had a lot of people tell me it's a turn off. Maybe it takes away from the girlfriend fantasy or it's just to much for some seeing certain acts....
