Shaving totally is just easier to be honest....I have a patch....not a strip,  but sometimes it get's long and I have to trim it....it's just easy to shave it all.....it's not a pedo thing at all....it's just easy and hygienic....   that's all!

I will agree it's far easier for me to shave my face completely than to groom a goatee, mustache, or beard.  

Rereading my OP, it sounds like I'm ragging on gals who groom bare, but that's absolutely not the case.  I haven't met a provider yet who wasn't bare (and have enjoyed them all,) which is in direct contrast to my civvie experience where the gals I've been with are at least partially or fully fuzzy.

My experience has been the younger ones shave completely and the mature ones are more likely not to. Again that's just my experience and even then it's not 100%. A few times a couple of the ones that usually shaved let it grow just before my appointment because they knew I liked it.

I've tried that before but it was before I got into the hobby.  I found it necessary to shave at least 3-4 times per week to keep everything smooth and gave up after two or three months when my wife didn't notice my grooming.  Nor did she notice when I stopped.
