When I think, I saw one, immediately I see one better.

I shall definitely let you know when and if such an enchanting event occur!

I was just wandering outside of my usual neighborhood and saw this.  Do you mean "thing" as in the kind of "thing" we usually speak of here, or just the most beautiful thing (animal, mineral or vegetable)?

I couldn't give a better answer than the one before mine if it's the latter.  As to the former, my ATF is in possession of the most beautiful "thing" I have ever seen.

As it comes to things the Sistine Chapel is hard to beat. Fishing on the Columbia river and Have Mt Saint Helen's to your right -Mount Hood to your back and Mt Rainer to the front spectacular. A beautiful women who really likes to give a BJ that view is hard to beat.

Terri, While I don't have children myself, that is not stupid at all. In fact, I think most people that have children would agree with you. I would hope so, anyway.

Flying high enough to see the sunrise over another time zone?
SR-71 on take off and fly by at an air show?
Michael Schumacher racing?

I'll go with delivering a child. The Miracle. The Moment. Nothing else compares... for me

The other morning I was on 285 and it had very little traffic.  It almost brought me to tears.

Ok, serious answer...

The most beautiful thing for me is a fine female form in motion expressing herself through dance.

I had the great fortune to see the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater when I was a young boy and some of those those images still stick with me.  What human beings can do when inspired by the joy of dance (and years of training lol) simply amazes me.  Women are at their absolute best when expressing their feelings with their bodies.  :-)

Poetry, music, art, cinema, literature - these are pinnacles of human achievement.  But I would trade them all for a graceful woman that knows how to dance.

And even if she can't dance well - if she just shakes her booty that works too.  LO

Maybe not "the" most beautiful thing because I have seen so many beautiful things in my years, but the memory of a sunset on a clear, hot summer day in the South China Sea has to be right up near the top.

Objectively there are more beautiful things, but when my kids smiles with this pride I'm struck by the uncontrolled emotional response it causes in me; I can't help but get caught up in it from half a dozen points of view at the same time. I've seen beautiful things, but I appreciate them, I don't feel them like this, and one of the feelings is that the moment is beautiful.

As for objects, it's beautiful, maybe not the most, but it too creates an emotion; if you look at the 4k video of a single quadrant of the Andromeda galaxy and watch the pan, and try to imagine counting the stars (cause you couldn't count them in 300 life times) of the ONE quadrant, I know that I am floored by the magnitude.

I have seen many amazing things but the one that touched me the most was...

When I saw my Brother's face when his daughter was born. I don't have any kids and that is his only one (so far).

Worth the 6 hour drive, one way, to be there for that :D

The Momma's face was priceless too!
