I have a question. When a hobbyist book an appointment, when typically will a provider confirm the appointment. I am under the impression that it's 24hr before the session. Thanks

Especially considering that I usually book same day appointments. lol

but yes, I would have to agree that a conscientious provider who made an appointment lets say a week out, would both confirm the day before, and then once again the day of the appointment. A little something like "looking forward to seeing you at 3PM" of course being preferable to "Are you still coming?" lol

but when I make one several days in advance, I try to confirm around 24 hours ahead of time.

...my correspondence with the provider that I will confirm on the morning of the appointment. Their response is their confirming to me.

I usually confirm about an hour or so in advance, especially before the client jumps in the car.

An appointment booked in advance will usually get confirmed a first time a day or two before event by me (if the gentleman doesn't reach out first).  That's even more true if that meeting includes my renting a hotel and/or driving to get to that city.  I'll then ask the gentleman to confirm his interest within a few hours of the scheduled appointment.

Same day, the booking is the confirmation.

A day in advance, I confirm the morning of.

A few days in advance, I confirm the day before and the morning of the appt.

Any farther in advance, I'll usually stay in touch every few days and then confirm as above.

My experience is that initiating the confirmation is a 50/50 proposition... sometimes she'll confirm with me first, sometimes I'll confirm with her. No worries either way, unless either of us has trouble responding.

I think that is best, especially when I book 1-2 weeks ahead. I prefer 24-48 hours notice whenever possible and do not mind the extra communication at all.

Less notice is fine, but harder for me to accommodate.
