I'm in my mid sixties and had my prostate removed 11 years ago. Was declared cancer free after 5 years !

About a year+ ago I noticed my sex drive and general energy was getting lower. Talked to my Urologist about this and he suggested Testosterone shots, but said the results would be 50/50...

Started having bi-weekly shots about a years ago and I now have a healthy sex drive again, my energy is up and I'm feeling really good for my age.

Congratulations on being cancer-free. I hope your PSA remains undetectable. Also glad to hear that your T shots are being administered under medical supervision. There can be cardiovascular issues with too much T so blood monitoring is advisable.  Good luck.

I've been on TRT for 13 years. Started off with the gel, and I hated it. Felt greasy and messy and hard to wash off my hands. Then went to shots every two weeks at the Drs office. About 3 years ago I started injecting myself every 10 days to 2 weeks. Very easy. Takes 5 minutes max. Since starting injections I noticed a dramatic improvement in my energy and sex drive. As time goes by it has plateaued, but still better than before TRT. I recommend. I also agree with the suggestion for regular bloodwork to check/maintain levels. I used to do twice a year; now down to once.

Hey D00dz,

For those injecting, what dosage are you at?

I'm prescribed 150 MG every 10 days. Low? High?

Let me know!
