My civvie friend had me tie  threads around a skin tag, over a period of a couple weeks, to remove it. Apparently by slowly blocking the blood so it will dry up or something. Now, I have seen ads on TV for something in the drugstore that is supposed to remove skin tags.

Personally, I don't mind a guy with skin tags but if they get too big, like my friends, then as he says 'it gets irritated and hurts.' I say 'go to the doctor!' lol

Comments or recommendations????

...and went to a dermatologist who snipped them off with a scissors.  A couple of them were larger so they had to be cauterized to stop the bleeding.

I suppose something like dry ice could be tried but if it doesn't work...  off to the doctor.  At our ages...  everyone needs a dermatologist.  Maintanance is like oil changes.

that it might provide a good opportunity to get out and play!  "oh honey, you don't need to go to the dr with me, it is always such a long wait. Stay home and enjoy the peace and quiet."

Hard to fake coming home from a biopisy.  Follow ups, not so much...
Oil changes & having tires rotated...  for a while I was in the tire shop monthly working to get leaking tire/alloy rims fixed.  Alloy rims with corrosion can be a real problem...  finally got them fixed & sold the car.

They should go to see a dermatologist or a regular doctor to get it removed.  Or put something over it so it does not irritated so it does not rub on it.

GO TO THE DOCTOR. You can mess around at home an you might have success, but the doctor can do it in seconds in a sanitary environment. I'm betting if you have one, you have ten. For 150 bucks, the doctor will zap or snip them all. They will also freeze off those scaly, moley things called seborrhic keratosis. It's maintenance. Gents, keep yourselves sexy. I don't want a mouth full of skin tag while I'm kissing your neck or your scrotum!

I've had probably 10 of them removed from various locations over the years.  My family doc (until he retired) was also a dermatologist and I got very used to the dewar of LN2 (liquid nitrogen) he would roll into the room to do the deed.
