I have researched other threads discussing this Viagra alternative. I'm going to try it. My doctor gave me the 20 mg pill to start. The instructions that came with the meds state "may use the medication once every 24 house--up to 5 pills per use."
Guess I'm asking if you are finding one pill is enough to produce results. Thanks! The 100 mg pills cost the same as the smaller sizes, so best to buy the 100s and get a pill cutter to cut them down to size.
It is best to start small and if that is satisfactory, stick with the small dose.I thought that med (same active ingredient as V but generic) was only available in 20s.
I pay about a buck a pill.
The generic is available only in 20 mg. One was enough for me. What's your source?
In my experience sildenafil only comes in 20 mg size and that's plenty. It also has a much longer half life than Viagra (24 hours versus about 4 hours for V), so if you have any side effects like stuffy nose or sore lower back, try taking the pill the day before, say 12-18 hours in advance. In my experience, side effects will have largely dissipated but the effect you want will still be there.
And, yah, online price is around $1/pill.I get it directly and discretely from the urologist.
Sildenafil comes in 100, 50, 25 and 20 mg. mrfisher is correct and is a very frugal man! I do exactly what he suggested by splitting and it's very economical.
Guess I'm asking if you are finding one pill is enough to produce results.
Thanks!
My generic viagra 20mg supply has run out, and need a good alternative without paying the doc a visit.
Anyone here order ADC Manly recently? I see some reviews say it takes a long time to kick in. Generic viagra kicks in within 20 minutes.I'm wondering what these reviewers mean when they say "long time"... Any info/advice appreciated.
Really? I was told by my doctor and the pharmacist that sildenafil (generic) was only available in a 20mg pill, hence my reply to Mr. fisher.
Sildenafil (generic and Revatio) is available only in 20 mg in tablet form (injections in other doses are also available). But Viagara, and some Viagara knockoffs, are available in multiple dosages.
Yes, they're all made of sildenafil, but don't try looking for a prescription for generic sildenafil or Revatio tabs in the USA in anything other than 20 mg.go to PharmacySearch.net and search for sildenafil. I'm pretty sure from what I can see that they offer it in various strengths. Just sayin'
Of all the vendors listed on that site, only one offers "sildenafil citrate" by that name, in doses other than 20 mg. If you go to that site, you see that the product is sold as an alternative to Viagara, NOT as Revatio/sildenafil which is intended for reasons other than ED (but can be and is used for that purpose of course). And every listing for Revatio, either Brand or Generic, is only for 20 mg.
So, as I said, you can get Viagara and its knock-offs in various dosages, but Revatio and its generic version sildenafil only in 20 mg doses (for pills).I get 100 mg tablets through the mail from a pharmacy in British Columbia. You need a prescription. 60 pills for $149. It is viagra and works the same. 60 Viagra at Walgreens will run over $2000.
Guess I'm asking if you are finding one pill is enough to produce results.
Thanks!
but that's way too technical for me! just saw the sildenafil and figured it was the generic. don't use it anyway, but was good to know. i like the kamagra that come in fruit flavors!
Now, let's tackle:
Is the fluid that gals ejaculate during sex urine or something else? (This should be fun.)My Dr gave me a Good RX card along with the prescription. You can also just sine up for it on line. The net result is the cost for 60 tablets comes to $37 at CVS.
after taking Sildenafil or Viagra? It seemed to help me short term when using. Wondering if just me or others have this as a positive side effect.
At my request, my doctor wrote me a prescription for sildenafill (viagra). 100mg. Went to the local pharmacy and was told that FDA has not approved sildenafil and that the prescription would cost over $600 as it would be viagara. How did others get around this? Ordering from foreign pharmacies?
Frustrated with viagra prices!Daily Cialis 5mg helps with my BPH.
I used Viagra before switching to Cialis. Both were rather expensive. Recently I had no refills remaining for Cialis so I went to see the Doc for a new prescription. We discussed the possibilities. Revatio is basically a generic for Viagra but is intended for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. The Doc said that if I tried to use my Rx insurance coverage the claim would be denied until the insurance company verified that I in fact had this condition. Since I do not have this condition I agreed to pay for Revatio out of pocket. I left with a prescription for 100 Revatio 20mg tablets with a dosage of 5 per day (with 5 refills). This gives a total of 100mg. Usually I cut a tablet in half and take it with 2 full tablets. That is just on days when I am active, not necessarily every day. Online I was able to printout a GoodRx coupon which was valid at Kroger. The coupon indicated that the 100 tablets would be $51.72. It was actually $51.92.
I am with Kaiser for about two years now. When my last Viagra was out (prescribed by a diferent MD) my new MD gave me the sildenfill version, 20 mg. And was filed in Kaiser's pharmacy.
I did notice that with cialis but until it is available as a generic or over the counter it is prohibitively expensive.i am waiting to see what will happen later this year.
My Hunt for Hard Times with Viagra Generics

(Sildenafil citrate aka Suhagra or Silagra), research and price comparisons
Walgreens "Value Priced" Pfizer Viagra 6 tabs for $124.99 ($21/pill) and some druggists are more expensive. This is what I used to pay! Canada examples are in $US:
Canada example Pfizer 16 tabs for $359/$22.44 each, about the same, is in the U.S. at Walgreens for Pfizer. Legitimate Generic Sildenafil - same active ingredient as Pfizer:
30 pills, 100mg for $99.00 ($3.30 each) + $10 shipping, which is what I order. The same site offers choices of manufacturers it uses for generic Sildenafil. It is slightly cheaper if you choose a manufacturer in Turkey or U.K. but delivery time is at least 4-8 weeks since it cannot be shipped directly to the U.S. It has to be shipped first to Canada and then reshipped to the U.S. At $3.30 I choose a Canadian source, as I trusted it more than others and wanted to be sure to get before my upcoming Canadian trip! I received it in about two weeks. You fax your prescription to them along with a copy of your drivers license. Any reputable source will require a Rx from a doctor that has seen you in person. My Dr gave me Rx for 30 with 8 refills which should last a few years! They came in small packages of 4 each so easy to travel with a few not take a big bottle! A Rx is only good for 1-year, so even though I didn't need more I reordered more just before the 1-year expired to avoid having to get a new Rx. The cost of 50mg pills is only a few dollars less than 100mg so if you only need 50mg a pill splitter works great. When I first started using it a few years ago, I had the minor bluish brighter white vision side effect. That went away in maybe 30 minutes and only the initial few times. Other men can have various side effects that usually are minor and goes away with repeated use.

Legal Issues ongoing fight to keep foreign drugs out of U.S. to protect drug profits:
Highlights 2/10/2016 from moneytalknews.
Importing drugs from overseas is illegal, so this has implications if you rely on online pharmacies that are outside the United States. Officials at the Food and Drug Administration told the New York Times that the agency “typically does not object” to people buying imported medicine for personal use “under certain circumstances.” The circumstances include purchasing less than a three-month supply. Although the FDA rarely prosecutes individuals importing medications for their personal use, the government does crack down on overseas pharmacies. Recently U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized such packages to “protect the consumer from harm,” reported Medscape. If your order is seized in such a crackdown, you may never receive the medication or the money you paid. In the recent raid, federal customs agents seized 50,000 packages spanning 115 countries — the largest crackdown to date on those selling prescription medicines online, according to International Business Times. In addition, 1,050 online pharmacies in 115 countries were raided or warned, 2,414 websites selling prescription drugs were shut down, and about 550 online advertisements were removed in the international crackdown. The FDA also sent warning letters to the operators of 400 online pharmacies that sell unapproved or mislabeled medicines or medical devices and seized 814 parcels containing antidepressants, hormone replacement therapies, and drugs to treat high cholesterol and erectile dysfunction at international mailrooms in New York, Chicago and Miami. According to a report by NPR, researchers from the National Bureau of Economic Research ordered samples of drugs commonly used by Americans — including Viagra, Celebrex, Lipitor, Nexium, and Zoloft — from 41 online pharmacies based in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe or Asia. The researchers selected the pharmacies through online searches, just as consumers do. The results: The 328 medication samples they tested that were obtained from any type of certified pharmacy were found to be legitimate. Those that were certified by PharmacyChecker and the Canadian International Pharmacy Association were half as expensive as the drugs ordered from U.S.-based outlets.

Dave notes this issue has been discussed on the prostate cancer patient sites and none have reported having their shipments seized using known legitimate online pharmacies.
I use CanadaPharmacyOnline.com
I believe someone else also mentioned it. When I reordered they called me to confirm order, don't recall if they did that the first time.
It is best to start small and if that is satisfactory, stick with the small dose.
