60 and Over
Old school gals who aren't on the internet...
I started in this back in the 1970s, and while I don't know anyone from back then, I did meet a pair of gals whom I met in the late 1980s to mid-1990s, and they don't own computers. They are actually UTR now, though one still works at an MP.
I thought of them today when I was doing some house cleaning and saw my old stash of LPs from the 1960s and 1970s. It brings me a lot of joy to play these old LPs sometimes despite how much effort it is to dig the record out of the jackets, put it on the turntable, clean it, and set the needle on the edge carefully. But I love the music and wouldn't give them up for anything.
So it is with these two gals. It's a pain to get in touch with them by phone, and staying in touch and making arrangements without a computer is a drag, but when we meet, we make sweet, sweet music.
Anyone else experience this old school thrill?
(Grooving on an old Cream album right now.)
I had a vintage copy of Deja Vue, but it got stolen when I brought it to a party. (Should have known better.)
Hold on to that vinyl, it might be your retirement fund someday.
