For better feel, you might try a female condom if you’ve never experienced that.

Interesting, I had an experience with a female condom that wasn't what I expected. Rather than inserting the female condom the provider placed it on my as if it were a plastic bag. It really didn't feel all that great.

There are several ways a woman can insert an FC2. The "official" way is for her to squeeze the smaller ring and insert using her own fingers. But she can use a dildo, or, if she has one handy, an erect penis. She puts it on you and you fuck it into her. Doesn't matter how it got in her, it should stay there. The inner ring is kinda optional; I've had ladies use FC2 both with and without the inner ring.

I wonder if she failed to put (enough) lube inside the FC before putting it on you? Some experience helps judging how much lube to use, but lube inside is needful because her sex juices are on the wrong side of the barrier. If the bag stuck to you or moved with you, that was probably the error.
Also, it can take a few seconds for the material to warm up and conform to her channel so that it stays in place and works as it should.

I can relate to that. I am in my mid-60's and as soon as the cover goes on I lose wood.
