Belly Dancing, squats, jumping jacks, marathons.......

How often do you exercise?

Do you have a regime/routine?

I'm going to be in the gym tomorrow at 6am

I had a date once that started in the gym. He was there working out and then I arrived to work out. He was able to watch me work out and I did not know which guy he was. When I finished my workout and went to my hotel to freshen up and change ...he arrived.
Working out together could get you hot and hard :D

ran ten marathons when I was in my 30's, now I stick to daily fast walks and fast paced hikes in the woods

and chill in the refrigerator until i become firm.

(not really, i try to run as much as possible.)

I try to run 2 to 4 miles at least 3 times a week and I lift weights also 3 times a week. I started this regime about 2 years ago and I am in better shape than I have been in for about 20 years.  I also get exercise hobbying . i try to do that 1 to 2 times a week. Thats great exercise!!

I also curl 10 pound weights about 100 reps when I noticed that I was getting man-boobs.

I've been doing those for over a year and they've done the trick.

I do two 15-20 minute workouts, one in the AM after I shave, and the other when I get home before I shower.

That, eating right, and lots of sex are my health care plan.

but recently, I started to push the limits.
I am walking 4-5 miles every day carrying a 40 lb. backpack in preparation for a summer of camping/backpacking with my son all around the country, culminating in attending the Burning Man Festival at the end of August.

We are going to do the App. Trail from Ga. through NC and into Virginia in June.
Then we head out west to hike/camp in Yosemite, Yellowstone National Parks in July and August.
Then we head to the Black Rock Desert, Nevada for a week on the playa at Black Rock City, for Burning Man. Then after a stop in Arizona to visit my daughter and grand kids, we head to Big Bend National Park for a couple of days, then home.

If everything goes according to plan, and that is a big if, I'll be home early Sept. in time to finish planning the delayed Tampa Soiree' #6 for later Sept. or Oct.

Should be a great adventure.

Work out at least five times a week:  bicycling, swimming, walking the dog, hit the workout room for some weights, elliptical for about 25 to 30 minutes, golf, skiing (in winter obviously!).....all in one day!  Gotta keep going!

After doing this over and over all day long I had to burn some calories. Walking through the grocery store pushing my cart picking my healthy choice eating from the prime food groups : sugar, fat,  white flour and ice cream (dairy) it's time to pickle my brain.

Yup, it's been a long year for me and food has given me much comfort. I use to run 6 miles a day, go to the gym 5 days a week and pump iron and do Pilates. Only gained 10 pounds this year but it's time to get back to the basics and pull out my juicer.

I'm glad many here do understand the importance of move it or lose it. You can't stop getting older but you can control some of the affect it has on your body and life. You don't have to kill yourself at the gym to make a difference either

bike in the winter.  A little, and I do mean LITTLE time on the elyptical.  4-5 days per week about an hour every day depending on the activity.

days a week alternating weights and lite cardio with days of heavy cardeo. Arthritis in the knee has limited me to using an ellyptical machine but the newer ones have TV's so I can watch TV to keep my mind off the workout. I also admire the young MILF's on the treadmills in front of the row of ellyptical machines.

....I need a ladies' boot camp or krav maga or something.

My fave is swimming, I was a competitive swimmer all the way thru college.  Now I do weights, swim, and the elliptical.  How often varies, as I like to say, life often gets in the way.  I do play golf, and other outdoor stuff, so workouts per week vary a lot.

Actually hate doing weights, but feel it's necessary at my age (65 in about 2 1/2 weeks), so I do it.  Obviously I love to swim, and actually enjoy the elliptical.  Because of what I do, I hope to be hobbying for a long long time.
