I am a caregiver to an older gent 70+ who takes several naps throughout the day. I just turned 44 & had to take a siesta to prepare for a date that was booked past my bedtime. Lol Smile for me! I am curious to know if you can relate? Do you take naps?
I rise early a.m. & so does my old man. 2:30 a.m. for me this morning & 4:30 a.m. on most days. Also, how many hours of sleep, do you need to function? Thank you kindly in advance for taking the time to read my post. Sharing is caring my TER friends.

You’re a spring chicken Queen Bia
I’m 60 wake up every morning at 5.30 drink my coffee. I’m back in bed by 9 asleep roughly At  10.30. Depends how much I have to drink. I’m also retired.

Thanks love I don’t feel, like a spring chicken. Lol Smile for me! I am blessed to be able to keep up with my little ones. Alcohol is a factor for sure. The old man loves his IPA’s & slow and lows. Especially on football days.  Xoxo

For many years I'd get sleepy after lunch. It's not a question of age. It results from more of your blood moving down to your digestive system, so less oxygen to the brain. So if you can't afford to take the time to nap you'll need a cup of coffee. But I  love to lie down on the couch and doze off for an hour. It feels luxurious.
As for alcohol, that's how I fall asleep at night. Most doctors will say you don't get high quality sleep that way and will wake up in the middle of the night. That doesn't happen with me, so I'll keep drinking!

but I found it was interfering with a good night's sleep, so tried to avoid same.

None the less, since having a bout of Covid about 9 months ago, I find that maybe once a week I am so tired when I get home I have to lie down for about 30 minutes so days.

I also try to nap for an hour late Saturday morning after doing all my weekly house keeping, prior to getting ready for a session.

One of truest sayings from Kramer on Seinfeld is "Never have an argument with your body.   You're going to lose."

Listening to your body is key because no one knows you better!

Hello QueenBia,

Naps are cool!

BTW: I looked at your profile and thought you were a hot 20 - 30 year old. My recommendation: Keep doing what you are doing! You are completely hot and definitely got it!

George

I am in my early 70;s and have found that if I take a nap for more than 20 minutes I cannot get to sleep that night.

Except when I have an evening outcall to my home.

Now I wish  could crash for an hour or two but I'm so wired and geek up with adrenaline that I can't sleep. But this only happens when I'm in Vegas but what surprises me, is that my date start at 11pm, I'll book 2 hours or a friend will meet me there and I/we don't go to bed till 5-6am..and then I'll get up at 8-9am and do who knows what.
I'm an enigma ...lol
