Don't know if its appropriate here but I just wanted to say RIP Whitney Houston. One of the best voices of all time.

I am listening tp this song while typing and feel a loss of someone who was so beautiful. I was lucky to see her once in concert years ago in her early career.

How about a tribute to her music right now so everyone can go back and listen all week' Put your link to her favorite song of yours or performance. Under the link note that their is sound and song location.

Here's my addition and thanks for your post Vince59 I am bringing it to the Florida board as well

Looking at these YouTube postings reminded me of how I listened to her song "All at Once" when I broke up with a beautiful woman with whom I had wanted to be for a long, long time.  She turned out to be nothing like I wanted, imagined, etc. and my it turned out fulfilling a fantasy is not always pleasurable.  I am not sure I have gotten over that, and that was a long time ago.

I wonder what song will help us get over losing Whitney?

This YouTube also gives you a little of her family tree that when you know helps you understand that she never had a choice to be anything but a music icon.

Well at least she left us with a list of great songs . Most of which are very appropriate for tomorrow. Valentines Day. Thanks Whitney!!!

...as a prostitute while she was addicted to drugs.  She quit cold turkey and became a great success.

Whitney was gifted with a great voice.  I still get goose bumps listening to "I Will Always Love You."  Dolly Parton wrote it but she said Whitney owned it.  But Whitney threw it all away.

I remember when she first started out ( I was in high school) I have always loved her voice! So sad such a beautiful and talented woman is gone :( RIP Whitney Houston

It might be a wake up call for some that do indulge in things that they shouldn't.

to have seen live Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong & Johnny Mathis when I was much younger.  While I never saw Whitney live, her talent was clearly in that category of greatness.  It is unspeakably sad that she is gone, far too soon.

We lost another one of the great talents of our time.  Her voice was amazing.  RIP Whitney...

I doubt I'll be able to listen to Jennifer Hudson sing her tribute to Whitney at the Grammy's tonight. I'll do the ugly cry!

:-(

Steph

but wouldn't want to miss it either. Spent a lot of tie on You-tube today and I had so many memories attached to much of her music. What a high price comes with fame
