Thanks MsMax.   I won't be there until the following week so you'll have to email me how your trip went.   You have a safe and fun trip as well.

Hey Philly, I'm coming to see you and would love to have some suggestions of safe areas to stay and restaurants.  Unfortunately I may not have enough time for much sightseeing this trip.

I'll be visiting soon as well....middle of next week.  Hopefully someone will reply or contact us with this info.

Be safe and have fun in Philly....I intend to!!!  :-)

Can you give me a little more information?  What type of restaurant are you looking for?  Cuisine?  Fancy or casual?  Bar scene important or are you all about the food?  Anything else you're looking for in the neighborhood?  Shopping?

Center City, hub of Philadelphia and her suburbs. Also has some of the better eating establishhments within a small radius.

And  the Rittenhouse Square area is great as well. Both have some nice hotels and lots to see and do!

Speaking of Philadelphia, when is the next time that you will be in the area?

How is the airport area for hotels....? LE, crime, restaurants, etc?

I am not aware of any hobby-unfriendly LE activity at the airport hotels.  The restaurant scene is non-existent though I imagine the top hotels have decent restaurants in their facility.  Crime is not a concern because I can't imagine where you would go outside of the hotel.  There's really nothing you would want to walk to.  The Harrah's Casino is a short cab ride.   You'd be fine at the casino but would not want to venture outside of it.

If you have any interest at all in experiencing more than a hotel, I recommend hotels in the city.

Rittenhouse Sq area..... what part/section of Philly is that in? xoxo

Around 18th and Walnut if you are familiar with the city streets.  It's in the middle of downtown, lost of restaurants and shopping, bustling streets.  University of Pennsylvania is about 20 blocks west, Old City about 20 blocks east.

Some consider it psrt of Center City but it has it's own personality. It's has a very pretty park, and lots of rstaurants and some nice hotels.

Definitely stay in Center City and around the Rittenhouse Square area.
