I would first like to thank all of you who have made us feel so welcome. =) I need a little bit of input. The location we are currently visiting has some -- traffic issues. Any suggestions on areas that are easily accessible, and not inconvenient for you.
First of all. Thank you for coming to DC Area. We do need good agencies here to fill the vacuum that has been created by departure of some key players. Traffic is bad no matter where you go in the DMV area. Its like taxes. You just can't avoid it.
That being said, I would highly recommend to spread your girls between BWI Airport (Baltimore, MD), Dupont Circle (Washington, D.C), Tyson's Corner (N.Virginia) and/or Dulles (N. Virginia) area. This would ensure that you cover majority of hobbyists. People, typically, don't like to travel a lot for seeing ladies - at least not on weekdays because of, you guessed it, traffic
BWI and the surrounding area hotels are always in the news for the Anne Arundel police cracking down on providers. I would avoid it.
Tyson's is the most common area, with Dupont Circle being the second choice. It is DC traffic is going to stink every place.
Welcome to the DMV.
I agree with CurlyW. Despite the construction I live near Tyson's so that still works best for me. I'll sometimes venture into DC but would never go as far as BWI.
If you expand to the other areas mentioned, you will add more clients definitely.
Again welcome to the area and I hope to be using your service soon!
disagree about Dulles. That is far away from almost everyone except those that live there. Not in a population center, very far to the edge of one.
May be for you personally, which I understand. But it is extremely convenient for someone flying into Dulles. Just look at all the ADs on the AD board. More and more providers are stopping by Dulles these days compared to few yrs ago. Real nice hotels in Herndon, Reston area to say the least.
The traffic is simply a headache in northern Virginia right now. Tysons is going to be choked up for another year. However, the Hotel [edited by moderator] is right on the beltway at Falls Church, and is somewhat easily accessible. Springfield is right on the I-95/I-395 north-south corridor and has many nice hotel options. Closer in, Crystal City provides good options and is accessible by Metro.
That's your Virginia report...!
Tysons is good, it is just off the beltway, Merrifield is next to Tysons, Springfield is another option along with the Dulles area. Most of us are familiar with the traffic and can adjust for the time of day and locations. These areas have numerous access points if there is a traffic issue. We are glad to have you visiting in our area.
Part of the reason why the traffic is so bad in Tysons is why it is a good location for you: more people work there than anywhere else in the region. So it is convenient for many of us, except of course during the afternoon rush hour, which now runs from 4-7 PM, and it's really bad from approx 5-6:30 pm most days.
I would encourage you to look at hotels anywhere in DC or in the close-in suburbs (especially Rosslyn and Crystal City) as long as the hotel is walkable to a metro stop. So while many on this board usual recommend Dupont Circle, other downtown DC hotels near metro stops, especially on the Orange and Red lines, are perfectly fine, and often there are better deals than Dupont.
Dupont Circle is not working for my , maybe for you
There is no way to please absolutely everyone on this one! Rotate around. Good luck!
True esp with tysons corner (vienna, mclean mainly) or arlington (especially crystal city)....those spots are VERY convenient & popular for some and there are some that the usual traffic keeps them away. Best bet is to split your time up.
Your gonna get a lot of opinions on this. I know there is a provider out there that does this: half of her stay at DuPont and the other half at Tyson's corner. Great compromise. If they are flying in through dulles stay at tyson's first then go to dupont and fly home via Reagan national or vice versa.
I have offices in Tysons and Downtown DC. Obviously when I'm in Tysons I scout for sessions in the area and the same for the Dupont/Downtown DC area. There is no getting around DC traffic issues no matter where you set up incall. These two areas should cover the majority of the client base in the area. With that said, I dont know what Marylanders needs are. I work and play in the NOVA and DC areas.
That is a good strategy for a provider to fly into Dulles and provide in that area, then fly out of National and provide in that area before leaving.
RE: BWI I use to make the occassional trip to that area but I gave up on it. Too far, and somtimes it was a roll of the dice as some of the providers were shady. To far for me to drive for an investigative, TOFTT scenario.
Thanks for the much needed input. =)
These two areas are greatly accessible from toll road. Lots of hobbyist also in Dulles area. Wok with Reston or Herndon. Lot of professional clientele. Also lots of visitors arriving from Dulles airport. Also very low key and discreet.
