An alternative to the Trump International in DC

I haven't had the opportunity to have been asked to do an outcall to the Trump International -- I'm not sure what that says about either me or my client base, haha -- but was amused to see an announcement of an "anti-Trump" luxury hotel opening a few blocks away.

From the article, the hotel will be a "flagship for a global brand that’s built around social activism and community engagement." Perhaps ironically, it's a brand being set up by a Hong Kong-based company / entrepreneur.

I'm morbidly curious how viable this place will wind up being for incalls, and how often outcall requests will come from there. Hah.

Bet it goes out of business in less 12mos.  Obviously this Hong Kong based company doesnt understand DC.  I would stay at the Ritz before a Trump hotel and would never stay in some leftist marxist dump like the one proposed here.

I was looking through my previous posts when I ran across this stupid ass comment. Wanna take a stab and guess whether or not the eaton is still around?

Who cares?

You care. That's why I'm reading this

So some rich Virtue Signaling Limousine Liberals can find yet another way to make luxury spending into a faux Mother Teresa Act.   Remember if you eat "locally sourced" organic quinoa then its OK for your hip new iPhone to be made in 3rd world sweat shops 6,000 miles away, and if you support public schools politically its OK for your little snowflakes to go to an elite private school,  and if you post indignantly on #twitter about racial nano-aggressions its OK to live in your racially segregated high end zip code, and if you drive a Pious fueled by coal generated electricity its OK to generate thousands of tons of CO2 flying to Kuala Lumpur for some enlightened globe hopping vacation.

yeh, you're right, guess your Mom must have told you.  she likes my new sheets

Nah.  My mom isn't your sister, so I doubt you'd be interested.

Damn--that's pretty much an expose of liberal democratic hypocrisy in one paragraph.

I guess it's pretty easy to figure out which side of the aisle you're on.

As for the OP, Personally I don't like to be lectured to by corporations. I don't care which side of the aisle they are on. I won't buy insurance from "Progressive" because I don't want to be preached at from the left. I won't eat at Chick fil A because of their over the top right wing agenda and I even pretty much tuned out the NFL because of the politicizing of the National Anthem

Enough already, I pay for goods, I pay for services, I do NOT pay to be lectured to. I would NEVER stay at such a hotel. Nor would I stay at a right wing version of such a hotel. I vote with my wallet. I think it's dumb to immediately alienate 50% of your potential market place, and that goes for hookers too, a hooker that goes on a "Never Trump" rant for instance will never get my business even if I think she's hot.

For the record, I don't believe Rebecca has gone on a political rant with her OP. I think the topic is a valid one, although it is probably more suited to P&R

Thanks. "Ironically comedic & related to the DC hobby scene" is close to what I intended.

It is certainly interesting to see how some guys seem to have read things into my original post which are not there.

As a DC-based provider, I have interacted with folks from both sides of the aisle. Perhaps my ability to express disagreement (or to hold opposing opinions) without being disagreeable makes me more-effective in this world of ours. Or perhaps it's a warning that providers are well-advised to stay away from any discussion even tangentially related to politics.

Oh really?  OK, well then this post is useless.  If you'd opened instead of closed with that sentence, you might have realized "hey, why the fuck am I even typing this shit?"

That's what knee-jerk Trump fellation looks like, ladies and gents.

Although the OP didn't make a political "rant" she most definitely made a political "post". I can't believe anyone is trying to claim that a post about "anti-Trumpers" can possibly be considered "non political" whether or not one takes a stand one way or the other.

Here's the thing about political posts, they almost always inspire at least a couple of political "rants" in response, which is why most of them are moved to P&R. Even a man with as limited intellect as yourself should know this by now.

You saw "Trump" and couldn't help but to wade in, but the OP's post was hardly political commentary.  You're just too dumb to discern a wisecrack about a couple local hotels from an earnest ideological argument...You really gotta stop subbing for ignorant rednecks.  That shit makes you stupid.

There’s a difference between a post that includes a rereference to politics and a full on political rant.  I️ reported the response rant as inappropriate for this board because it was nothing short of ridiculous and unnecessarily aggressive.

Most corporations steer away from overtly aligning themselves with political parties... which I think is wise.

I think creating a hotel and marketing it as an anti-Trump hotel is pretty silly, and I don’t think the incentives they’re offering will have me inclined to stay there (if I was hosting) vs anywhere else.

Also, I had the pleasure of an outcall to the Trump Hotel and it is indeed one of the nicest hotels in the city. Right on par with the Four Seasons in terms of the accommodations and service offerings. I was not the least bit put off when my client said he was staying there, though it did make me giggle.

After reading the article, I get the sense that the “anti-Trump” verbiage was more the choice of the Bloomberg editor looking for clicks than the more holistic concept the hotel founder is going for.  I see it filling a niche demand in the select markets they’ve targeted (DC flagship, HK, Seattle, SF).

As far as the OP question, suitability for escorts, it could go either way.  Some guests/staff might be turned off by association with the escort industry, while others might embrace it.
