Fair criticism, to each his own, I guess. I don't expect everyone to like my work.

Holli's pics are not the best but given the circumstances that they were taken under, I think they turned out well for 20 minutes worth of work, handholding the camera, working with just natural light and a subject not use to modeling and clearly uncomfortable in front of the camera.  Also, my techniques have evolved tremendously since then. I know I would shoot her differently if given the opportunity to do so again. It also can be a simple case of the some people photographing better or worse than they look in person.

With respect to my posting of Chrissy's image, perhaps you do have a higher standard of beauty, but the guy that reads your post and your reviews may not be inclined to research enough to realize that.  Your "7" may end up costing a provider money from a client that otherwise would have seen her but was swayed by the "7" that you gave. You have the absolute right to say and post what you want. All I ask any one is to be fair and stick to facts of the session and temper the more subjective aspects of the reviews. Notice I never challenged you review of her performance.  Your experience is your experience, who am I to challenge that aspect of your assessment.

Now I'm not saying that you are not entitled to your opinion, but clearly your standards are different than mine.  Holli, for example, in my opinion is less attractive to me than Chrissy.  You obviously disagree with that.  Fine. But your opinion is not more valid than mine nor mine more valid than yours.

My post was a simple rebuttal to your post. It simply lets the image match up against your posted opinion which lets others decide for themselves. It was not a personal attack and I'm sorry if you took it that way.

I can only do so much for a model in an image – you have to have a good subject to begin with. You can only glamorize so much without it being obvious. Notice that you never said she did not look like the picture. I really don't do much to the model as I do treatment more for style. This is especially true for these kind of images where a fair representation is critical. She really looks this way and should she not present herself in a glamorous light?  Maybe she was off when you saw her last, everyone has a bad day every once and a while, but that did not have to do with how she looked but with how she performed.

If you are confident in your assessment of Chrissy's appearance then let your words stand against the image.  If others feel that it’s true then it proves your point.  If they feel otherwise then that doesn’t mean that you lose face or respect, it just means that other’s disagree with your assessment.
