Wow, I never thought I would find myself back on TER. Several years back I tried to do the monogamy lifestyle a try. Things went well for a long time but there is alot of truth to the saying that all relationships have an expiration date. So here i am. The two Independent Providers I tried to book with never replied. The agency I contacted wanted me to pay $75 upfront for some verification service I have never heard of. So who out there can see a dude who's references have moved on?
I found that it's rare that a lady won't accept my P411 okays for screening. Once in a while one will ask if she can contact one or two recent okays to verify.
Early on I would get my okay when I saw a lady the first time and then that was it. For the past few years I always request an update to the okay and almost always have a few that are not more than a month or two old.
As far as I can remember only one P411 provider has asked for RWI and that was Josephine, the Asian provider (can't remember if she's in Fairfax or Tyson's). I ended up not seeing her after getting cleared because when I was finally ready to see her her assistant stopped responding to my texts and emails for some unknown reason.
I based that portion on of the comment on several statements by providers on this very board about their not viewing P411 as a verification service or the Okays as sufficient for their screening. I don't recall having seen any providers posting the they would rely only on P411 but that doesn't mean some, or even many, don't.
Just sharing that even if he goes the P411 route he still may find some providers are looking for more.
I'm a bit confused about what the problem is. If you're willing to hand over pii, there are several local agencies that will be glad to do you "investigation" for free.
My challenge is that I want really badly to book a visit with a new girl at an agency that requires it, but I won't hand over my pii. Check of reviews for Momo in NY. She's here now at MP. WTF? I don't usually want to pay those rates, but I make exceptions. Now if one could only make an appointment with them without sending them DNA and a lock of hair. Fuck.
As far as I can tell, they just want your info, no fee. Let us know if you find out differently.
So, after 13 emails, a date and time assigned, they ask for my phone number (it was in my sig, oh well). My hopes are running high I'm going to get to see her. But then crickets. Twelve hours, one phone call, and one text later, I get the dreaded "work ID and DL, please." Shoot!
However, to the OP, they didn't it wasn't, "gimme pii *and* $50, please."
You guys really don't have a problem turning over your pii, even if it's just, say, your street address? It give me the willies.
I've never had anyone ask for an unredacted ID. All I've been asked for is a pic of the id which shows my face and name -- everything else can be redacted.
Exact quote: "show me your work ID and driver's license."
I responded that I'm not willing to part with pii, that the potential consequences are pretty severe. Their response? "Require to book service."
At what point after I showed them the info would they tell me I could have redacted it. Honestly, Jensen, you've done that without asking and they accepted it? It leaves me wondering why they would make their own requirements appear more onerous than they actually are. If they were willing to accept a pic of something — and if redacted it could be anything — with only my name and a pic, why wouldn't they say so up front? It would seem to me that there are guys who are too uncomfortable to give them the unredacted docs, but would happily do so if they could cover up all the pii besides name and pic.
If you take just a one year break from the hobby--go back to Go on the Monopoly board. In only one year your sessions with providers the previous year will be irrelevant. You have to start all over as a newbie. One local agency will ask you to send them a mug shot photo of yourself holding your driver's license. Oh brother. As a rule of thumb, try not to go more than six months between each session to keep your history current.
Even if you give them your DNA and family history 10 generations back, if they don't like something , like if you are from out of town like me , they might just ignore you .
