Testing - Fairfax County

Hello,

After going over the following thread and banging my head against the wall a few times,
https://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion-boards/washington-dc-6/iso-bbfs-301083?page=1

I was wondering if people could post some places where one can get tested anonymously in Fairfax county and/or nearby counties.

Places I looked into need a whole bunch of personal information. Anonymous testing is no longer available
http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/hd/std/

Do these places need ID as well?

Thanks,

So am I to assume that no hobbyist in Fairfax County has gotten tested? :-)

No doctor, walk in clinic or an online testing site going to broadcast your information to the world.  You can always get tested at a lab that is far away from where you live and nobody will recognize you walking in or out.

I'm sure there must be a valid reason for that, isn't it?

Until now confidential testing has been free.  But I noticed, "Beginning July 10, the Health Department will continue to offer confidential HIV testing for a fee but anonymous testing will no longer be available."

So I guess there is now a fee.  They will ask you for your address in Fairfax County.  I do not remember if I had to provide a driver's license as proof of residence.  But whether confidential or anonymous, the information is NOT PUBLIC.

Whatever you do, GET TESTED

I have used STDCHECK.com in the past. They allow you to use a fake name and the testing centers won't ask for ID. Now it isn't free but if you ever feel you want to remain completely anonymous and get tested for everything it is easy and convenient

It seems that they use Quest/LabCorp.

Are you saying that these labs would just accept the work order and not ask for any ID while getting the tests done?

yes I have done this. they accept a work order. no id or anything needed. they call you with results and you can pick them up at labcorp.

that said I still think there are anom places in DC. might want to search for where lgbtq+ people get tested cause they have a long history of offering screening in full confidence.

Planned parenthood is good and they dont release info unless you want them to, but they do take id. and I did receive something in the mail from them one time - nothing personal but also ... how did they get my info and why did I get mail from them could be a question... just prepare for that if needed

You can purchase tests at CVS and FEDEX (included) them out, results are 48 hours on average. They use a number that comes with the test, names are never used.

In February a woman told me, "you infected me."  I was in shock.  I had been recently tested, but I returned immediately and produced tests showing I had nothing.  I left a copy for the agency and provide I was not the source.

It is my understanding that anonymous testing has no identification.  I never get anonymous testing because I want to be able to PROVE to the woman that I am safe.  I want the ability to prove that I am safe (safer because I use condoms.)

But did you show your name to the agency or the provider? If not, then whether name is on the report or not wouldn't make a difference.

Talent Testing Services (TTS) is one of the two companies the adult film industry uses for performer testing. They have the most stringent  standards and use nucleic acid tests for all blood-bourne pathogens. So instead of +\- 12 week false negative for HIV, it's +\- 72 hours.

As with /all/ STI Testing, you're going to have to give an ID because of legal  specimen requirements and medal record keeping requirements. However, because performers are paranoid as hell about our personal info, you can guarantee its not making it out. They also have tests no facilities they contract with all over the US. Check their website.

Thanks. Will look at Talent Testing as well.

However, it seems that STDCheck requires no ID even when one goes to have blood drawn.
