Southern DC?

The term Southern DC has no meaning to locals.  Are you referring to Southeast, which has the ballpark and a few hotels, or Southwest, which has the Wharf and a few hotels?  Most of Downtown is in Northwest.

Asking for a provider friend that’s visiting for the first time. Does anyone know of a nice hotel in southern DC that does not require a key card to use the elevator? Or is that a more common feat for Tyson’s?

I've never been to a hotel in DC. Tyson's has quite a variety and I've been to a bunch and none required a key for the elevator.
