Sharks or Monopoly?

In the last two months, there has been an increasing number of certain paths of behavior that are taking the form of monopoly in the DC area. In my conversations with independent providers, they all agree that these behaviors are being created by a large and aggressive group of Spanish and African American agency owners/managers.

The behaviors:

As soon as an Independent provider Ad goes online they receive an aggressive amount of calls, one after the other, all of them scheduling fake appointments, others asking the whereabouts of the provider or any other information.  The goal here is to busy phone lines, confuse the provider so that when a real and interested client calls it doesn't get through.

These callers are Spanish speaking, with some degree of command of the English language, other times there are kids ( with a better English) on the phone trying to schedule appointments and when all these fail the African American callers begin with the same sneaky tactics. We have compared the telephone numbers of the callers and the majority of the Independent ladies have exactly the same phone numbers registered in their phones.

So how can we, the independent ladies, and the "consumers" collaborate to help maintain a sense of respect to our business endeavors?

Call the hotel/motel their girls use and say you were their to see a family member/friend and you are also a LE officer from the next county over.  Tell the desk you are giving them a heads up before you call a friend you know in that county's department that their appears to human trafficking going on in their hotel.

how do you find out where they are?

Don't impersonate law enforcement

You can get in a lot of trouble impersonating LE. Tell both the hotel and the local LE that you are a shocked hotel guest, and you wanted to tell someone. You don't want to give your name because you don't want to get caught up in this sordid mess.

A similar, but seemingly smaller, pair of agencies were behaving (not quite this) aggressively several years ago. Because they were operating in the DMV, they were constantly moving girls across state lines and using the girls to move some of the money, making this a bunch of federal crimes. When one of the pimps pulled a gun on an escort, she complained and the FBI got involved. I believe that the pimp's 4-5 year sentences should have ended a couple of years ago.

before helping ramp up the whole Human Trafficking hysteria
Maybe just waist their time we fake appointments?  ladies could surely buy a burner phone or two and let their customers use them before heading out the door...

Whenever a provider visits a new town invariably the losers who call/email every single visiting ad like it's their job start blowing them up. Whenever I travel the first 20 callers are usually 100% blacklisted with multiple complaints or refuse to be screened.

5 minutes of screening eliminates most bullshit- including crazy people and men working on behalf of agencies or providers to bomb competitors tours.

If you can't provide verifiable name and phone number, work media etc within the first three emails, text messages or minutes on the phone - I'm assuming you are not a serious individual and I'm hanging up or blocking. It's really that simple.

In the words of George W Bush  - fool me once, can't get fooled again. Screening makes your business and time unfuckwithable for the most part.  Blocking first, asking questions later helps too.

How bad is their business that they need to pull these kinds of stunts? Their service/girls must be horrible if they need to act like this.
