I’m new to TER, not new to “this!” Just curious... how is everyone holding up? Traffic has been much slower however I have been lucky enough to keep special regulars from the past few years. They will never ever be taken for granted. I’m so glad we are on the way to manufacturing and distribution of vaccines (that work). I want to see everyone safely. 😢 New York City... it’s not the same since it (was) a major hub for business travelers and tourists. Maybe I could visit some monuments and have some fun along the way! DC is really not good but Nova is much better. Certainly not normal but business activity continues at a reduced level. DC on the other hand looks like its closed ..K Street businesses boarded up due to riots ..though there is business activity in the offices and construction. One example, on street parking is allowed downtown on what used to be rush hour streets where youi would be towed in a heartbeat 10 months ago. K Street for instance where construction guys now park all day. Another example...METRO (the subway) is operating on 15 minute intervals during what used to be rush hour. I had no problem getting a seat when I used it in July. There only 7 other people on my car.
Yesterday at 7:30 am I just drove downtown thinking I could get street parking which I did.

I wasn’t so sure because I’ve gotten mixed input from some girls. One would hang out at the mid-market hotels and Gallery Place restaurants... with some luck. By the sound of it, it doesn’t seem like visiting DC is worth the risk. Maybe it will be when life goes back to normal...

It is very slow and established and even exclusive relationship are valued. People have either quit entirely or moved to nesting. It makes sense that some have slowed down for the sake of staying “negative,” staying safe. It’s also unfortunate that the pandemic pushed people to find something else to do.
