For DC, I like Archibald’s on K Street. Maryland suburbs The Showcase Theater in Beltsville. NOVA fav is the Crystal City Restaurant.

That place is major YMMV.  Some like it, others hate it.  All agree that it is super expensive.  

Baltimore is the closest place you can find to DC that has some decent action, I have never been to any DC clubs mostly because I have heard subpar things about them. I go to S. Florida every year just for strip clubs and beach.  

 
I am a huge Strip Club aficionado. So trust me, if it were worth pursing I would have done it.. It's all about local laws and ordinances.  Even in Florida all strip clubs are not the same. South Florida counties like Broward, Miami-Dade, West Palm Beach  are very loose.  Anything goes..  While some of the gulf coast counties like Hillsborough (that's where Tampa is) are not so much.  Hillsborough doesn't allow fully nude to go with booze.    

 
Same is true with strip clubs in Vegas.  As much as Vegas likes to brag about being the entertainment capital of the world,  except for Palomino Club, none of the clubs allow booze to mix with full nudity.  Palomino is a crappy club, and in shitty town of North Las Vegas which has ton of violence. They don't even have a full kitchen.

You really have to know what you are looking for.. What do you mean by "best" clubs? What are your expectations? How much money you plan to spend? What are you trying to get out of it? Are you trying to get laid? Like I said,   Baltimore is the closest place you can find to DC that has some decent action

As others have said, you should definitely venture outside of DC and venture towards Baltimore.  My favorites are Millstream Inn, Gold Club, and Penthouse.  If you want to stay in DC, I would say Cloakroom.

I agree with Baltimore even with the 70 minute drive.  Walk to Chaps for some pit beef.  

I've tried a few around here through the years and it is usually a disappointing sub-par experience for me, but as previously mentioned, it is all about what you seek by going to one to begin with.

South Florida is great, but arguably the top rated one on some sites is Hong Kong in Tijuana, again it probably depends on your likes and dislikes, but it can be a great experience.
