END OF MESSAGE

OK.. had an appointment with someone today and part of her screening is to obtian your TER information if you have it... claims it is the easiest way to verify that you are on the level...

Go to the appointment, have a mediocre time at best and am told that If I write a review she'll (positive or negative) she'll post my personal information!

This lady already has some reviews which are ok... not overly flattering or greatly positive but not too bad but she is furious that they exist. I told her that she could contact TER to have them taken down and she responded that she didn;t have time for things like that... She claimed she knew who one of the guys was and had a good idea of the other and asked for my help to identify him...

Told her that was not something I would agree to and wanted no part of it.

I've been offered discounts, free sessions and even been politely asked not to post a review... but never blackmailed into not writing a review!

Anyone else out there been in this situation?? I'm half tempted to write a review anyway since it can't affect my work or my family life at this point... Just curious on what others take on this is really???

uhm, please pm me and tell who this provider is so i can steer my ass clear of this headache! good grief.. thats some disdainful shit.  never such a thing has ever happened to me but i can understand that it can happen in this craziness we call life.  hey fog i say tie up that loose end before it unravels only to reveal shit you don't want to reveal!

isn't TER the only "level" playing field both hobbyists and providers have? has anyone ever been asked to not write a review on TER by a provider? and if so why? UTR reasons?

A few questions first. She uses TER to screen. But, you said she can't affect your personal and work life. However, you also said that she'll post our personal information. What kind of personal information does she have? Does she have your real name, and other information? Also, where would she post your information? If she posted here, I'll leave skid marks all over that ass. We don't play that shit around here :)

Your obvious concerns is that she may post your information. However, it would help if we knew which site she will post it on. For example, is it NBL?

Life in general, don't ever let anyone intimidate you for doing something that are entitled to do. That is obstruction to your liberty. If you let this one slide, then a habit of acceptance will occur. Then, if will be programed into your character. Then, next thing you'll know, everyone is calling you a bitch.

Don't let that women intimate you. Stand up for your right as a consumer, and a person in general. If you take the initial step, as with others that have written reviews about her. Then, she might change her tactics of persuasion. I'd doubt she has returning clients if that is the kind of drama she puts off.

Anyhow Fog. If I was you, I'd write that review of her, I'll even post a thread about her, I'll let all of my TER buddies know about her, and warn that provider in the RO board. I might even take it a bit further and invest a bit of money for my own advertisement about her. I don't play that shit. That's what I would do. I have given you my opinion, and I hope you make the right decision.

It all sounds very rarara, but do you really want to be immortalized on some blog because you wanted to make a point to all your brethren on ter? It might not sound too bad now, but 5 years from now it might affect you, and you will find very little comfort in knowing you had a Bros before hos mentality. Think carefully, if you could see yourself 5 or ten years from now worrying about this, what would you go back in time and tell yourself to do?

Name, agency if any, location, pic. Let's run her out of the business.

If you don't write the review then you are a big fat pussy for whining to us about all this and how some gal manipulated you.

WRITE THE REVIEW.

AND OUT HER IN THIS THREAD !!!!

NOW !!!!

seriously, you don't even write reviews of those you see let alone out someone for bad service, oh, I maybe you are one who has never had bad service.

I can see him sending information privately, but not post about it.

First he asked if anyone has had this experience and now some like yourself are calling him out and expect him to post, regardless of his personal life.

Really I think he should have left well enough alone. Or as he said maybe he has nothing to lose and can write the review outting the bitch.

Why would you give a provider your TER ID AND your personal information?  Who cares how much it would speed up the review process.  Why would anyone think it was a good idea for a provider to know their real name and the handle they use to post on this board?  Perhaps you've benefited from sharing your ID before - the discounts and free sessions offered for reviews - thought it might happen again, but instead got burned?
I'm not being judgmental, I'm just curious.

This maybe a noob question, but if you don't supply your TER ID how else can you get white listed?

was intimating is that if you give you TER handle, (along with both PM and email verification that you are the guy behind the handle), many times you will not have to give any personal information.

and providers can try whatever tricks they want to try.

If this had been me, I would seriously consider outing this woman right here, right now!

At least not now and not under your main handle.

You have couple of reviews under your belt... utilize RO.  You guys have plenty of backchannel options for situations like these.

I appreciate the comments... haven't decided if I will review yet but I'm seriously considering it.. just not sure it is worth the hastle!

Why bother? Honestly if you see a lady and she doesn't want reviews then dont review her. It's not a big deal. She really should take the few minutes it takes to notify TER to ake her reviews down.

Just adding my 2cents. I feel screening information is a tool that should be used only to maintain levels of security for both parties. Its inappropriate for her to blackmail you into not writing a review or writing a review if that was the case. A clients info should be safeguarded and used for screening ONLY. She could have asked nicely that you do not post a review for her and that would have been it.

All this talk about doing what's right and not letting someone infringe on your liberties is bullshit.
Obviously she's a loose cannon, why would you take the chance on pissing her off anymore?
Drop it, move on.

If you feel compelled to let everyone know about her, then do it later, or on the RO board and use an alias. Or just email your trusted friends about her.

I highly doubt she will remember u by then and if real pressed u can always change ur # afterwards
