I'm not so sure I like the new look for the discussion board. While it appears to be a faster site, I liked viewing all of the responses on each post vs. having to click on it to view.
...and ask my opinion, so it's a given that either I put up with the change or not renew my subscription. The info and community here are worth the small inconvenience, and eventually I'm sure I'll get used to the new format.

Recently I went through this trauma with another board that needed to update their platform and it was a nightmare. Complaining about the revamp dominated discussion for everyone -- it made me realize that many of us navigate these forums so often that changes in layout, functionality and theme can be more jarring than we might think. After a week or two I adapted to the other board (some still haven't several months in) and love it, so when they implemented the drastic changes here, I took it with a grain of salt. Overall impression is that it lacks character with all this bland white, too generic. I'll have to noodle around with the buttons to see if the functionality makes navigating any quicker. Initial impression after a day or two is "so-so".
the short cuts seem to me to be worth the switch!
Page. I wish it would descend etc..., but maybe that's an easy IT fix ( or a setting I haven't found?)
I know that's something I saw people ask for in the past.
In the board I like not having to click a message to see it.
From a search perspective, if you put an area code in and 4 numbers, you will not find the person if the matching phone number is the 2nd phone number listed. Surprising this has not been fixed.
