On the AOL home page one of the lead stories is the boycott forming against The Da Vinci Code. The photograph that accompanies the story is a picture of copies of the book being burned and some hands holding more copies the book ready to burn some more. Thing is, nobody is burning the book. So they must have had to create a fake picture. Why would they do that?
To get people to read the story, and thus see the ads plastered all over it.
Same thing you'll see from the local news. They'll pop on, describe some horrific or titilating story in 5 seconds, and say "film at 11".
