I am a newbie, when and add says VIP with a different price, what does that mean?  Do provider always up sell?

VIP can mean kissing or she cums, maybe both.  Of course it will depend on the chemistry between the two of you.  If she doesn't like you, then it's wasted extra money.

If she offers VIP and regular rate, the regular rate means you can cum, but don't expect much else.

There are very few terms in p4p (pay for play) that mean the same thing to everyone, everywhere, every time.

GFE and PSE are subject to wide interpretation.

If you can't discover what the terms might mean ahead of time (by going to her personal web site, perhaps), then it's a roll of the dice.  

You don't want to discuss details of services before you meet her (legal jeopardy). By the time you're BCD (behind closed doors), it's probably too late to back out if she tells you what you want isn't available at the price (or at all).

If she has reviews, that MIGHT give you a clue; or you could message reviewers to find out (another roll of the dice)..

OK, that's pretty cynical, but I'm finding VIP not to be worth it. So few girls understand the concept of repeat business. They hustle you in and out which doesn't leave the impression of wanting to see them again, especially when you've paid for the VIP treatment.  

Bleh. Just feeling disappointed lately with the experience.

Sorry to hear that so many fellows are still having these issues.... there may be some providers and/or fellow experienced seekers and reviewers might throw it back at you and just say that's the playing field, or that's the price you pay for making uninformed decisions, or not doing enough research and really digging down for a few hours or a day to try to find someone with solid history, good reviews, and friendly un-rushed practices.... and honestly all would be true....

 
...but the other side is, at least from this provider, i understand if a LEGIT high-end provider that is WELL WORTH the extra rewards, and actually GIVES you what you were expecting based on what was advertised or discussed.... that would be one thing.... however, that seems to rarely be the case in similar threads posted here over the years and they always go pretty much the same sad way....  
 

i have always been saddened personally as at least 8 out of 10 special friends i have *ever* met - have previously dealt with every kind of fake, flake, ripoff, person not matching the photos, rushed, rude, transactional, scripted, or far worse.... and often as well, due to the seeker's lack of knowing/or taking the time to know how to do some due diligence, or not being aware of sites like TER or P411 etc,  and even then, so many of the "verified" ads also apparently end up being less than advertised.....  this especially happens with newbies and inexperienced seekers, and the sad fact is "word to the wise" in so many ways....

 
But....don't be so sad that you lose hope or stop trying.... there are some good companions out there.... but depending also on where you live or work or travel, it may take some real patience and more time - to go thru the review sites and see if there's anyone exceptional coming to a place near you and if you can make a booking when they are there.... or if you can afford to arrange travel invitation with someone that's truly established and has a good history and such....

 
I have always been a little mixed about the whole VIP thing, but largely i personally have never agreed with VIP up-sells nor practiced that. I discuss with my potential special friends in our screening exactly what our mutual interests are, and try to go from there, based solely on my flat posted rates (the only exceptions are things like adding a new person such as a couple, or another interested friend, or longer travel outside of my normal range, or much longer time spent than initially discussed (and i mean an hour or two or three, NOT an additional 5 or 15 or 25 minutes)....

 
...I am certain there are some (few) honorable companions that make VIP distinctions and that REALLY DO make it worth your time, but from what i have seen and heard here over the years, not so much. I have real issues with all the VIP up-sell ripoffs frankly - because it always makes it harder for the small percentage of truly honorable girls because so many of you gentlemen get jaded by that whole rude, rushed, and incompletely unsatisfying experience that utterly differs from what you were told or sold by the provider. I understand survival economics just as well as anyone else does, but you would think some high volume companions would really appreciate the consequence of A.) future reputation  and B.) returning happy satisfied friends willing to maybe even spend more because you actually took GREAT care of them.

Be well, do research, be patient, screen well.... it can make all the difference for you.....

So kind of you to leave such a detailed response. If you were in So Cal I’d see you on this alone.

As for me, I will tip or give gifts which is similar, but not Vip as such.
