I agree, Divas is still the place to go in SF. I've even gone in there on a random weekday afternoon and had some success but the peak time as mentioned by Dog is after 11:00 pm. You will absolutely find plenty of options there on the multi-floor establishment. Try to visit all four floors while there.

Forget Divas.  The stroll is much better and as said in the above, walk it, don't drive it for a full appreciation of the many delicious damsels of the dark hangin' it out on the street corners and all points in between.  Having missed the glory days of Peanuts and the Yukon in LA, I try to do this walkabout whenever in San Francisco.

What I wonder is --- why isn't this venue a feature of every tour for the many visitors who wish to see the unique attributes of the infamous City by the Bay?

They all want a bowl of clam chowder in a bread bowl.  Also, don't limit yourself to just this loop.  You can go a few blocks south on Larkin towards Geary and do the same on Polk.  There usually is some talent a few blocks past Larkin on Post too.  Its usually best after midnight and most of the girls are standing outside of their flats or not too far of a walk.

Google and the others can try as hard as they want to destroy America's greatest city but they'll never fully be able to destroy the Tenderloin and the other pockets of glory.
