Google Los Angeles Apartment fire on Jan 10th for the story.   TS Eva was murdered in the Pico/Union area.  This story was on the 5 O'clock news earlier this week.

Respecting her family, do not post the link or her legal name here.  This was the instructions I received from the TER Admin.

An arrest has been made.

but if there is a ray of light in this story, it is that the murderer committed this heinous crime in state where trans people have rights (unlike other states where he could claim the trans panic defense or that he has a 1st Amendment religious right to persecute others).  I hope the murderer dies behind bars.

Anyone who willingly takes the life of another has cheated justice if not compelled to forfeit his own life, even more perversely so if his own vital needs are taken care of for the remainder of his natural life by the toil and savings of the very people who recognize this abhorrent spiritual travesty.

I see you actually show some compassion for us when we get killed. There's a silver lining for you. From this post you will jump back to your usually bashing posts like the other hypocrites.
Just check out your own post history. You will find out some somber truth about your participation on these forums, and why i have drawn back from participating as many other providers and hobbyists.

I bash those who deal fraudulently or condescendently with equal intensity as the simps who tolerate it ...  and lavish praise on those who rise above this.

Congrats on your many great reviews!  There should be more providers like you, and in your case the above does not apply.

I don't believe that in other states you have the right to murder a human being.  In fact, in CA you are more likely to walk.
My thoughts are with poor Eva and her family.

Agreed, and I should probably not have taken the conversation in this direction. In any tragedy, I try to see what could be learned and perhaps changed for the better. There is a history in this country of gay and trans people being killed for "moral" reasons. Not saying at all that was the case here. It was a robbery, attack, and murder. But there is also precedent established for a possible defense. We've seen many past examples of when the killer goes to court, the killer defends his actions by claiming that he became so enraged when his heterosexual identity and masculinity was challenged that the ensuing violence was reasonable and inevitable. California was the first state to ban the use of this defense. Other states have followed. There is a whole spectrum of rights including the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Since the country was founded, trans people and gay people in every state have seen their rights ebb and flow through legislation. Even now, basic rights continue to be given and taken away. If you are interested, there is a link below to a map of that shows which states give trans folk more rights or less rights.

rip Eva.
quick story re: being trans in our society.
Attended XBIZ LA last week. Visited Grooby Sponsored Happy Hour. Their trans marketing person was handing out drink tix. While standing at bar, overhead 2 "gentlemen" behind me. Convo: "Where do you get tix?" "There's a tranny handing them out." "What's her name?" "John" (and they proceeded to yuck it up with more stereotypical comments).
I was only trans at bar at that moment but had my back to them. When I turned and walked past "sheepish" would be good descriptor of looks on their faces.
And that was at an adult industry event here in LA with plenty of LGBTQ attendees.
#Sad

After reading thru these posts of this tragic event I am surprised by those who miss the point that a life was  snuffed out. These are not opportunities to bash each other. This is another sad example of a hate crime against an innocent.

This is not the post to do what you described.  Not only was she brutally murdered, but her place then was torched.  I'm sure she had a roommate so hope that person was either not there or got out in time.  If you read the news article, it all happened around 3:30am.  Nothing good happens at 3:30am.

Someone appears to have ripped off Eva's pic and still posting on craigslist LA.....is there no shame?
