How long does a typical 40 year old male stay erect? In porn movies (the only time I see another guy with wood) they're up for 30 minutes straight. I assume that's editing.

But I do not have an answer that will fit everyone and all. A penis belonging to a healthy pre-andropausal male will stay erect when stimulated; it will also depend on the nature of the stimulus and who does what to whom. Of course, the same healthy male will eventually ejaculate if the stimulation continues, and there really is no average for that one.

Of course porno movies are edited. But it is not an impossibility whatsoever for a 40 year old male to stay erect for 30 minutes, as long as something is happening for 30 minutes. As to just absentmindedly walking around your house with a boner for 30 minutes straight with nothing to encourage it...I'd almost call that priapism, to the point of being painful. Is it possible? Yes, of course it is.

for 30 minutes - easy.  I've practiced a lot of tantric exercises and the "pumping of blood" into the penis (that's not exactly the right description but accept it for this post)works.   With a little bit of Cialis I can stay up for close to an hour.  Of course at some point you either go soft or cum.  I prefer the latter!   I can stay more erect and not cum while getting BBBJ.  With FS at some point, again, you either cum or go soft.  FS activity can tire you out more also.

I'm 50 and, with the help of Viagra, I have no trouble staying erect for close to two hours during an appointment as long as there is something going on!
As for the porn thing, films are certainly edited but many gonzo scenes are not. The question doesn't really apply as very few male porn actors are any where near 40 and the ones who are have been at it for a while and wouldn't still be working if they couldn't get the job done.
