I recieved a text message to my phone regarding being placed on a website called preadatoralerts dot com.  It looks like a way to grab $$ from unsuspecting SD’s. Has anyone seen this??

I reported it to SA and they said they put their legal dept on it. I could identify the hooker that got my throwaway google number because she asked for it in her first message

It was alarming so it's good to know it's a scam. Thanks for letting us know.

I got a message from a profile I’ve seen many times before. It’s a single photo profile (strike 1). Says something like we might be a good match. I responded and a little while later I get a message saying text me with a phone number. So I texted the  number with an introduction of this is x from SA. All I get is a “Hello!”. I waited a good ten minutes and replied that I’m always a little leery about profiles with just a single picture (no privates either) and would she be willing to share a photo or two. In response I get three img links.

I recognize them for what they are but in no way am I going to click on these. I copied one of the img link messages and sent it back saying. “All I got was this, no image”. Response was pretty quick “click the link”. I responded, “sorry I don’t do links, just send an image”. Naturally, I’ve not heard back and I’ve blocked their profile. I’m tempted to report them but since it was off site, I’m not sure SA could or would do anything.

and like you, I have no idea what was on the "other side of the curtain" as I don't open up links from strangers either.

I have had several attempts at getting me to sign up for some kind of "verification service" which also required clicking on a link which I simply laughed at. I have been tempted to go to my local library to use one of their computers just to see where the link/s lead, but no way in hell am I clicking any of those links from any of my own devices

I have not seen this scenario on the site. But I have seen it several times on my kik app.

(Why does a single guy in his 50's use kik? Because I "date"  [i.e.: fuck] hot millennial chicks.)

I get an unsolicited request to chat. She's bored/horny/lonely/etc. and wants to show me her hot naked body in video stream. Just click the link and get "verified".  This usually comes with a tiny, suspicious profile pic of a possibly naked hot woman.  Clicking the link will bring you to a (probably scam) web chat site. The link has a token (a unique code) in it that identifies the account of the person who sent you the link.

If you are a total dumbass moron and actually sign up (needs to do a $1 "age verification charge") the "woman" get's a commission.  They don't need to actually connect with you on the site to make money. Just get you to sign up (and possibly expose your credit card to ongoing fraud use later).

My best guess based on the number and syntax used in the text messages is that there is some kind of  scam farm or boiler room operation in East Europe with operators blind contacting kik numbers and trying to hook a fish.
