Seems to me that I've had my best luck meeting SBs when the meeting will occur soon (2-3) days; who has contacted / viewed me; responded relatively quickly to my opening line; moved to text/email quickly.
I've had a little luck on the second, rarely, third message to the SB. Also, sometimes contacting someone who hasn't been on for a week or so works. What's your experience?...not always ! Some SB's are more reluctant than others in wanting to hook up tight away.
I find that it pays dividends to be patient sometimes...after a while you'll get a " feel" for the ebb and flow of it.
In some respects, it's a numbers game too with SB's who are more reticent to meet right away ...I try to keep my options open by staying in contact as long as I'm getting positive feedback.

I have one SB in my rotation I've been dating for 10 months and she's become quite dear to me. But I exchanged messages with her, on and off, mostly off, for 2 solid years before she agreed to meet me! She'd disappear from activity on SA for weeks or months at a time, then I'd see she was active again and send her a nice message, saying it's great to see you here again, etc. Turns out she did not meet anyone until finally deciding to meet me. We hit it off, the rest is history. So never give up!
