As a newbie, was checking out the competition using my “Susie xxxx” profile: what is it with all the 30-40 yo guys flashing their 6-pack abs on SA? I mean are they trolling for a discount with super-young SB or hoping to hook the >40 yo mommies with idea of a reverse SM-->SD payment arrangement?

If that's what attracts them, they deserve what they get.
What puzzles me is that (assuming one has a brain) SA is not the dating site that so many try to make it.
Checking out the male competition in the Phoenix area, using an alternative profile, would easily give you the impression that it's just another version of Match.com. It would seem to me that a good looking, younger guy should be able to meet women without resorting to SA -- so why do they? Otherwise, a lot of these guys are just cluttering up the site making it harder for the rest of us.
30 or even 40 might sound young to you, but 30 is an "old dude" to an 18 year old.
Any guy can meet women without resorting to SA, just like any guy can get laid without paying a hooker, that's really not the point. I know a guy,25 years old, a German guy I met in Medellin Columbia who my running buddy ended up hiring and who now spends a few months a year in the states for the job my buddy hired him for. I have met his GF in Medellin and she's a hottie, but he has a thing for black girls and whenever he is in the states he activates his profile on SA and gets all the young hot black girls he wants. He has plenty of game, he's young and is exactly one of those guys you are talking about. The reason he does it is because "he likes it" What better reason could you ask for.
I am sure there are a lot of SB's who have a cut off age of around forty, and I am sure there are some who even think the average 40 year old is "disgusting" If you were a forty year old in decent shape wouldn't you want to showcase that fact to attract the girls who don't want to be with someone "repulsive" Come to think of it, while I don't have six pack abs, I am in pretty damn good shape for a guy pushing sixty. Maybe I will start showing more skin so the girls will know that while I might be getting old, at least I am not "old and fat" lol

Spent the entire weekend plowing through the past one-year of SA postings...some interesting stuff - took about 8-10 hours of "research," punctuated with a few glasses of vino.
All of my experience is the land between Moscow and Milano, so need to need to learn about the domestic fauna!

Only thing I could offer to us Newbies, is to set-up a fairly attractive SB profile and see what the other side is up to!!
