Baby boomers vs x-generation.

As we know the vast majority of hobbyists are in the baby boom generation born between (1946-1964). I talk to many guys just a few years younger then me in the X-generation and they say they will never pay for it. There are many reasons for this. One big reason is that the X-generation is the first generation not to do as well as their parents by the time they are age 30. Do you all see this as a trend that will impact the hobby and the quality of clients coming down the pipe for the future ?

They just aren't old enough yet to understand that there is no such thing as free sex....

It's called the worlds oldest profession for a reason....

Their loss, not ours.  We already have it figured out.  They are a just a little egotistic yet.  They will find out soon enough.   lol

Many, if not most younger guys will not admit to "paying" for it. Not just generation X, but Y,Z and most likely all future generations.

Income, or lack thereof has very little to do with it. My elders used to refer to it as "the arrogance of youth" I doubt that will ever change.

One trend that I am starting to see is the concept of the "maintenance man". Believe or not there are single females out that in the x-generation who just  want to have a guy to fuck without a relationship. They don't want to be a provider. As a matter a fact there are sites out there that cater to this. Of course the girl has to be attracted to guy to give up the free pussy.

many of the X generation group are into computer programming and make really good money. :) They are far more educated than some of us were as young adults and baby boomers. I didn't finish my first degree until I was 39 -- probably too much pot or traveling. :)

Ciara... your statement reminds me of the hotties I banged in college who while very smart, didn't have their own agendas and were only in college to find a husband. Not that you did that, but I met so many that did, I ended up marrying someone 10 years my junior because despite all of her other hang-ups she has great skills and doesn't need me for squat.

You constantly amaze me and make me rethink lots of preconceived notions.  All this goes to show, as I pointed out in the cosmetic lecture 101... what is between the ears determins your age... and when I was with you... well, I felt like I was.... ahem 29 again!  but probably acted more like a 14 yr old school boy....

Mostly what I have found is that the alphabet soup after one's name is not nearly as important as what is in their heart and their common sense.   You've both.

While I'm sure there are a large amount of babyboomers in the "hobby," there are also a large number of guys in Gen X in the hobby-  moreso than many may realize. Hell, most of the guys I see on a regular basis are Gen Xers.

As with anything illicit, there are those that indulge and those that don't. I certainly wouldn't admit to hanging around here to anyone other than those in this community, so why would anyone you ask admit to it? They talk a good game, but they get on their computers just as quickly to get a girl over there when they strike out at the bar.

Just my .02

The Traditionals came before the boomers but didn't pay for it because by the time anyone made any money, they didn't want it anymore... The boomers sometimes called Gen-B were the first generation that experienced affluence as a whole and they "bought" it all... Gen-Xers don't believe anything or anyone and are more likely to marry and divorce at thrice the rate only to find out if they had paid to get laid they be twice as happy and a whole lot less broke. The Millennials or Gen-Y will much like traditionalists as family will take on a more traditional feel than the last 2 generations, but they'll burn out faster and are more likely to enter into the hobby at earlier ages (I see it already). The moral: There is nothing new under the sun and if you stick around awhile it all comes back around and if we'd only listen with our ears and eyes, we'd be a whole lot richer, happier, and laid.
