I'm sure this has been discussed here before, so I apologize, but I'm new to the hobby. I love BBBJ but am concerned about whether this is a safe practice. I mean I REALLY LOVE BBBJ! But how risky is it in terms of STDs? I see that some providers offer BBBJ, others CBJ. So I'm also curious why some do and some don't offer BBBJ. I'd appreciate any comments. Thanks.

there seems to be no B&W answer to this question that would satisfy all hobbyists and providers at once (let alone the medical community). i've even asked the pros over at the PS board about this (as well as some industry insiders i know myself) and even there it seems there's no clear concensus. so i'll just give you one of my personal experiences with the medical establishment, as anectodal as it may be.


i recently suspected having contracted some sort of STD (possibly HIV). a few red spots on my arms, which being a hypochondriac, i was convinced were early signs of "Kaposi's Carcoma" (AIDS). the only possible means of infection would've been my frequent bouts of BBBJ with providers. two very senior doctors at one of the best hospitals in the world (one a dermatolgist, the other a GI specialist) listened to my risky-behavior sob story and just *smiled* (one even giggled) as i frantically outlined a recent BBBJ encounter (almost pleading with them to be granted some  absolution for my sins and transgressions). to my great surprise they both shrugged it off in a somewhat non-chalante manner. essentially saying (paraphrasing) "RELAX, that can't be it. we'll do some tests just to be sure" and more i think to put *my* mind at ease rather than theirs ... and the test results came back .... [drumroll] ... NEGATIVE (phew!) ... it turned out to be an allergic reaction/rash to everyday household chemicals!  LOL

Off hand, unless you had an open sore on your penis (need to lubricate before you maturbate LOL, grin) your risk is much less than the woman's.  Remember guys leak final to the big explosion or even if you don't CIM, you are still discharging.

Guys, what about those of us who love to DATY?  I doubt that few if any of us have ever tried to use a cover.  It seems that the more beautiful the provider the less I even give it a second thought.  But aren't we also at risk?  With some gals you are in bodly fluids almost all the time you are down there.  Isn't it great.
  As for the BBBJ I have heard that the gal is at less risk if she swollows immediately than if she keeps it in her mouth.  I guess stomach acids kill all where fluid might get in around the teeth and go into the blood stream.  But I also have heard there
is relatively little risk from BJ.  Sure hope so!

Ok, went to the CDC website (center for Disease control) and there is a risk however small.  I vaguely remember this question being asked on the phoenix board so it is obviously a question for us all.

I love DATY with the right provider of course so I suppose I will just continue to pick and choose as I see fit.

u r careful in your selection and check out the obvious factors in your initial encounter, like general hygiene, breath, fingernails, hair, rashes, conversation etc. chances r that the providers are like us, who take care of themselves and won't b carrying anything.
afterall, who amongst us has anything to worry about... none....... i thought so.

despite any appearance of self-censure, i was NOT coerced into adding that disclaimer by overly-zealous and safety-conscious providers on this board. sorry, but i don't do "focus groups" ... "homey dont play dat!"

I have discussed this with two urologists, and what they told me is consistent with the information that I've read published by the CDC and various health organizations.

First, HIV is not believed to be transmitted by saliva, so a guy is not going to get HIV from getting a BBBJ (at least in the absence of the woman having bleeding gums).

Second, there is a small, but real, chance of a guy getting a STD from a BBBJ.  These include chlamydia, cytomegalovirus, syphilis, gonorrhea, hepatitis B and herpes.  Both of the urologists that I talked with about this had seen guys who had caught STD's (chyamydia in one case, gonorrhea in the other case) from BBBJ's.

It depends where you live. Goto the CDC website and check if you live in an area with high incidence of STDS. If so, then don't do it. There's a really hot provider that I'd like to see traveling to my area but she's from Miami... really high incidence of STDS there so I'm not even going to see her.

There are really three separate questions.

What is the probability my partner is infected?

If she is infected what is probability of transmission without using a condom?

If she is infected how much does a condom reduce the probability of transmission?

Most of my hobbying experiences have been in the Nevada Legal Brothels. Covered blow jobs are the norm. I prefer bare back blow jobs...but in my experience...if a lady is great at oral and has a passion for it...it can be good with the latex on. I've had more great cbj's than bbbj's. Another point? I don't put the onus on a lady to give me a bbbj. If it's her way, cool. If she feels safer putting on a condom, cool, too. I enjoy the tactile feel of bbbj but I prefer my provider feel safe and worry free so that we can have fun. Thats' more important to having a great session in my book.
